Assumptions

The United States is one of the few countries capable of mobilizing enough ppl to stop conflict and police human rights violations.

The United States cannot dictate policy as this will eventually regardless of the circumstances generate ill will. No one likes a master.

Plan for Iraq

Instead of mobilizing thousands of men and women to destroy maim and kill. Why not instead reduce the levels of troops and increase the number of engineers. Instead of going into an area and clearing it and holding it. Go into an area with strong security details and start rebuilding areas. Build schools, hospitals, homes, stores. Contact local clergy, business men/women, and academics. Use security details to ensure safety of those doing construction work... essentially moving green zones. Move into an area an person(s) who are not interested in working to better their community will be asked to leave, except in the case of the sick, elderly, and young. If the refuse but cause no problems, no problems, however any persons seeking to incite violence will be removed. Repeat process as nessecary until all of Iraq has been rebuilt or built to acceptable conditions. Bring in Delegates From Iran, Saudia Arabia, Syria, Turkey, Pakistan, Kuwait, Jordan, and Egypt. Give all delgates an equal say regardless of wealth of respective country. Above all back neither the Shiites, the Kurds, or the Sunnies.

Future for American Military.

Instead of reacting to problems, preempt them by attacking the root causes. I.E poor economic standards, low wages, low education, malnutitrition, disease, War lords etc...

Stop the DEA from causing the profit and quality of drugs from continuing to rise. Instead of supporting one drug cartel against another. Pull out DEA peoples, and inform Drug lords, cause you know its possible, that if they do not cease and desist we will target them and their families. Make it clear that we are not interested in stopping their mules, money trains, etc, we are now past that... either stop or you will be personally stopped, and so will any person who continues do this. This is only in regards to Cocaine, Heroin, Meth, and Opium.

America can significantly improve its image if it does the following:

1) Establish a Corp of Engineers and construction workers. Much like we have military recruitment we would have Engineer and construction recruitment. Where people are taken in by the fed and trained. Hand to hand combat and other basic military skills could still be taught secondary to these persons. So as to not reduce the efficacy of every person in the American military.

2) Said Corp of Engineers and Construction workers would than be essentially leased to the United Nations to go into an area for cost of materials to rebuild/build Hospitals, Schools, homes, and local businesses.

3) Reduce trade tariffs but create new laws that make it so no company may buy sell ship to or from the United States unless all its subsidiaries, offshoots, etc abide by all US laws regardless of what country they are operating in.

4) Link Foreign Economic and Trade policy to Us Laws and Treaties regardless of loss to profit.

Most importantly if you are a violator of human rights we will not trade with you. However b4 we can take this stance we need to clean up our jailing systems, narrow the gap between the rich and the poor, increase access to Higher education regardless of class or station. For those who are not apt for college, create vocational schools of many different types to create skilled workers with some education rather than unskilled workers destined for nothing higher than middle management. We also need to create a national health care system, wether that system be subsidized by the fed or wether it be totally private is irrelavant. What is relevant, is that in a post-modern Information society it is deplorable that we have citizens in this country who do not have access to basic medical care.

What do you all think?

I think you have to be more realistic.

Biggest flaw, you seem to think we can just "build" schools and hospitals in Iraq when terrorists are blowing them up.

Loss of profit means loss of campaign money and votes so NOT REALISTIC...we're an economic empire, we exist to make money - simple as that.

Human rights is # compared to the US making money, only US citizens matter...
