In 1997 Tony Blair was elected and immediately allowed the bank of England the power to set interest rates independantly. Unsurprisingly this was a popular move with the financial powers that be in London. After this Uk house prices mysteriously began to rise out of line with income and have done ever since. I have never been to good at economics so would someone care as to explain this coinidence to me? It all seems rather strange.

Have you not seen pictures of the war in Iraq? Have you not seen the pictures on the news of dead Iraqi children?
Every clever Prime Minister has to do something at the start of their 'career' to seem like they care about anyone else.
