Army and Air Force bases everywhere, and now we gotta have their missiles here too? We're like a great big aircraft carrier as it is

Public opinion on this won't change anything, no matter how many people object to it. I don't quite understand just why we need to have so much US military hardware stationed here anyway. US forces operating from UK bases against US enemies just makes us a target for retaliation anyway, so why not send them all home? That way they can protect America

I don't see the British being too happy about this.

I believe US's current worries are on China's space weapons. Though if this measure is adopted, other world powers will have no problem doing the same too.
