Are humans evolving for alien contact ?

Nostradamus made claims of a WW3 between the years 2007-2012. Also, the mayans had an understanding of time better than any other civilization to exist, and they believed Quetzalcoatl is to return on a certain date. The date translated out to be December 21, 2012. Also, this date is to be the beginning of a new "world cycle". However, the current calender we use is slightly inaccurate, and the translated date may be off a little. Perhaps Quetzalcoatl is merely a reference to an evolutionary step? Being a "plumed" serpent, as name implies, has led me to believe that he is infact a mayan depicted "angel". As evidence shows, "angels" are likely from the stars. Think about. Most ancient cultures depict angel-like, or bird-like deities. In the Old Testament, the "angels" would come down from the sky, eat "human" food when offered, and commonly had children with human women (possible genetic engineering?). Not until around 600AD did these "angels" become etheral beings. Maybe I'm on to something, maybe not. This is just a theory with a few observations.
