Are humans evolving for alien contact ?

I have been really kicking around this notion for a while now and the more in think about it, the more it make sense. For starters it directly addresses one of my all time great unsolved questions "If there are Alien beings how come they don't make mass contact with humans" ?. Now the most simple reason for this is we as humans are just to spiritually and mentally UNDERDEVELOPED. For example we cannot even accept gay people not to mention it was not even 100 years ago we where hanging people just because of the color of there skin. So its pretty obvious we would not accept the aliens with open arms specifically there alternative prospective of the human origins.So back to my point are we evolving as humans into beings that will at some point be assimilated into a galaxy teaming with 1000's of other lifeforms ?. Will this evolutionary change begin at 2012 ?.

It's not the first time I hear this. It would make a whole lot of sense if the only thing limiting our contact is because we don't even accept each other here.

Some humans have trouble with just a difference in voice tones and skin colors. So yeah, we have quite some work to do that way.

Interesting? Alot of people including myself say that major changes and major events will occur in 2010 threw about 2015. Why would evolution of humans beggin in 2012?

If you check our evolution, there is some major scientic leaps. But spiritualy, nothing much happened in the last 100 years.

We are slow learners that way, maybe something major will force us to readjust, ...?

is this mayan calender you read accurate or is it a fake? And if we do evolved what exactly will evolve about us?

This is a great topic for me because I want so badly to believe that we are becoming more enlightened as people. We are accepting, to a point, of things that were unheard of in the not so distant past. I mean, women only got the right to vote in, what, the last fifty years? I may be wrong, I cannot remember my history right now, but it wasn't that very long ago. ANd look, a woman is running for president! African Americans were not allowed to do, well, pretty much anything in this country, and now we have Obama running for president. THis signals to me a great change. But, at the same time, we are in a crisis of deception, violence, blind hatred, ignorance, widespread mental illness, an incredible rise in autism, and a general feeling of hopelessness, betrayal, paranoia and anxiety. SO, are we really evolving or has the Info Age slapped our back sides and we are getting overloaded. I have hope, and that is what gets me out of bed in the morning. 2012 may be a good year, but it is likely to have five sh---y years before it. Are "they" watching for us to pull our heads out of the sand? Are they giving us signs that we are too blind or stupid to read? Are some sent here to give us the message, like Sleeper, or are we just deluded? Spiritually bankrupt? Deaf? Or just don't care?

You forgot to include religiously deluded to the point of fanatical warfare based on dogmatic faith to unproven 'Gods'. When people are prepared to kill other people based on religious beliefs, there's a problem. It's not just 'one' religion that has the fanatical zealots - all religions have them.

Throw greed into the mix and you're even closer to the root of all evil.

Surely, any intelligent alien species would have matured beyond self-destructing, trivial matters like religion and greed.

Thats a great analogy for what really happened, at one point we had this wealth spiritual information then certain churches made it there missions to seek out these sacred texts and destroy them. Hense as humans we are now "Spiritually bankrupt", one only has to read the Vedas to know we are being Spiritually deceived. Are we evolving as humans? as a race I think we are getting worse not better,but as far as evolving I cant see it,though more and more people nowadays shave their bodily hair (take Britney for example) if we all did it,maybe the ET`s would be fooled into thinking we have evolved like them?.

If I were an ET, I sure would keep my distance from the human race,we are too messed up as a whole.

Short of wiping out most of the human race, any true contact to which your hoping for,will not likely happen in the distant future let alone 2012 if it maturity they are waiting for.
Thats playing with the idea they are even visiting us to begin with.I think other life forms would exist,given just how enormous the universe is.

I've often wondered if they didn't help us along (thank you van daniken for putting ideas in my head, even if i don't believe your entire theory) i mean if you think about it, we humans went from nomadic people to, an agricultural people, and if i'm not missing a huge chunk of history here, we developed grain in at an incredibly fast rate, where it should've taken a longer time to develop them thru cross breeding and what not. I don't know, maybe they're wanting to make contact again where we can be as 'equals' atleast on a mental capability type thing.

I was just looking through the Bhagavad-Gita.... we must be from the same ilk?

I too have thought, we don't hardly think about our spirit. I've asked random people at work and in the street about their spirit. Most don't have a clue. The ones who do, don't understand what you can do with it. I try to tell them, but they don't think what I tell them will work. They don't know that they are radiating mass of energy that can and does effect the entire universe around them. They just have to will it into being. No god, unless you want one, just energy.

Religions have such tight control over people these last 300 years that your point is quite valid. Most people have become the exact sheep they want to be from the texts they hold the most sacred.

I like you and perhaps a few hundred thousand people on this watery blue ball are the only ones that have broken out of the curse.

Religions want control because someone has convinced them that control is what they should have. My question is who? Who else is behind the scenes?

I think about the energy that makes up me daily. Ever since the church could no longer answer my questions, I went on my own quest.

I meditate for the purpose of creating my day the way I want it to be. No radio, no TV, no sound if I can help it, so that I may concentrate fully on what would make me happy that day. After about thirty minutes of that, I get up and have a best day I can imagine.

My understanding thus far of my impact on the universe is likely very tiny to what "they" may know.

If anything is true about what I've read, then they can sense our despair, but not our exact thoughts. Again, if any of what I just read was true.

Then again, if we are all from the same source "universally," then we already know what our future will be by looking inside our minds and seeing it unfold.

I think you missed the point it on that one, its not " we couldn't even get along with them" more they(the aliens) or even me for that matter would have grave concerns with letting humans into a galactic federation. Do i really need to make a list compelling you of the 101 worst atrocities humans have commited ?. Honestly what could we offer aliens, 3000 years of lies ?.

I'm new here so forgive me if i've missed the point, but i don't understand the certainty that ET's will be so supirior to us. For instance you talk about all the atrocities the human race has commited but how do you know that any alien life that may exist will not be the same or worse?

I would like to think that any steps in our (mental) evolution may well of been inspired by aliens pointing us in the right direction. Pyramids / maths / language & putting stripes in toothpaste.

With that in mind could the next steps be clean free energy for all / better ways of wiping out your energy or better understanding of the extra dimensions suggested by string theory?

Or are we on our own?

Read a book about the subject, and understand that being gay is a chemical reaction in the brain, not a "sinful choice" as so many zealots want to believe. Thank you for your post! I have read religios texts from East to West and back again, and it is hard to reconcile an underlying fear of the control that you mentioned. It is like becoming a member of a club where "we believe this, and THEY don't so we are better" kind of mentality. SOme are worse than others, but the messages all seem to be the same- join us, we know The Truth with a capital T. Oh, and missionaries! Don't get me started on that train wreck!

I haved found the most sense in Buddhist text, that states that they basically have never seen the after life and don't really think about it. It is more of a make this world the best, make myself the best I can be kind of philosophy. The Hindus have an interesting system too, meditating to the point of visions and utter focus. Of course, that is not unlike Native American types of spirituality. I refuse to subscribe to just one, because I don't believe only one religion can answer all of the questions. I mean, what do religios folks think about the whole UFO phenom? From my limited understanding, a lot of the die-hards won't even touch the subject because it isn't in The Book.

Our spirtual evolution is stymied by people's fear of control. It's like, once someone believes in a Higher Power, they have to immediately go to church or shave their head or put hooks in their backs. Not true. But there seems to be more people that have been scared off of spirituality from some poor choices by religious leaders and certain churches. This does not have to be. The control that people fear is real, maybe because of money? More members=more revenue? If that is the case, then The Word is lost among spread sheets and finacial forecasts. And that is certainly not going to win over any hearts and spirits. ALso, religion has a funny way of dictating how we should live. Take GPS' juvenile and hateful message for instance. He (I assume he) is taking a stance that many do from a possibly religious stance. THere are hoardes of people that say "Love everyone, except the queers." This is antithetical to what religious texts tell us. If we are to become more advanced spiritually, we need to be connected to people on a deeper level than that. Love is more than these Earthly concerns. It can know no bounds, but we bind (blind?) ourselves with stupid notions of right and wrong. THere is pretty widespread conclusions about the biggies- don't kill, steal, etc. THe rest becomes personal attacks on people's lives and lifestyles. Wow, I just went on a rant! I just think that an open mind is a prelude to an open heart, and perhaps an evolution that is worth the aliens' attention.
