Well, I think its pretty snazzy. I want a fish like that!

Of course its not really a mermaid... and the only reason it looks human is because its eyes are on the front of its head and it has a raised nose-ridge, but its still a cool hybrid fish.

Its probably a mutation of some type- i would imagine, and no its certainly not a mermaid, but probably the closest thing we have thus far.

Probably not a mutation, but a rare fish.. Nothing special in my opinion. Probably doesnt looks as human if you had a good picture of it, instead of that blurry one.

I assumed given it was a news website it would have been something new!

Still is interesting.

The "face" kind of looks like an elf form Final Fantasy (jeez that was neerdy) but that is weird how that fish turned out.

Yeah the article said they used two species of fish and Artificially Inseminated it and the fish came out like that.

I do that all the time. Yeah it does look like that or the fish from seaman which is a game from the Sega Dreamcast. Atleast that's what I thought at first.

Most likely is carp, they pretty much eat anything, and those type of waters it wouldnt surprise me.

No doubt there has been similair fish caught, just no-one reported them.
