Betrayal (rant)

Just needed a place to vent....

Betrayal

As I lay defeated in a pile of filth
Reeling from yet another betrayal
In a long, long list of betrayals

She stands tall over me, cackling with glee
And battering me with an endless barrage
Of coffee cups drawn from the kitchen pantry

She hurls them at me with all her considerable might
And I shudder and cry out in pain
As they impact and shatter into
A thousand jagged pieces all over my body

Dear one! I am in such pain!
Will you give me no solace, even now?
Will you only gloat and celebrate your complete victory?

Just know that I love you even now
Though love is cruel....

This isn't love on her part. You don't hurt people that you love like that. I'm very sorry............

to clarify,

This is a sort of allegorical poem/story and not a portrayal of a real event or relationship! Thanks for the concern though and sorry to startle you folks.

Maybe you should become a writer, and post your poems there.

That was my first thought when I read it...that it was a poem of sorts...but it also says it's a rant... There's the confusion

yes, a rant in the form of allegory and poetry

lots of people on here like to express themselves with poetry, I didn't know it was wrong to do so?

Oh please stop it I'm not cracking on you, Honest. I'm simply suggesting that "if" you like to write things, you should become an ats writer, and post some of your stuff in the writing forum

You know hun, I would love to be able to just read and write, and use computers all day.... unfortunately circumstances dictate that I must always work, or be looking for work.... too bad ATS doesn't pay! LOL

Well, either way, I’m glad your resolve has been hardened, and you feel your resolution is good. Yes, addictions can be a real problem if people don’t watch out

well if the chick is bad enough to write poetry about than she must be toxic to you somehow. I say unless you guys are married, and even then, walk. Plain and simple Walk away from her and don't look back. Nobody should have to live their life like that.

again, it wasn't about any one specific chick.... more like women in general.... and being betrayed.... and not just being betrayed by women, but by friends and other men too....

and I wish relationships were that simple, you know, walk away from ones that hurt you, stay with ones that treat you well.... but sometimes people inadvertently hurt people that they love very much....

I am OK, just dealing with a LOT of s### right now.... among other things I recently lost a job which I was rather counting on...
