Found this article recently discussing the continued efforts of Chinese hackers attacking DoD networks. In the article it claims that the US govenment thinks that the attacks may be coordinated/endorsed by the Chinese govenment. Quite interesting......

Attacks coming from China, probably with government support, far outstrip other attackers in terms of volume, proficiency and sophistication, said a senior Netwarcom official, who spoke to reporters on background Feb 12. The conflict has reached the level of a campaign-style, force-on-force engagement, he said.

“They will exploit anything and everything,” the senior official said, referring to the Chinese hackers’ strategy. And although it is impossible to confirm the involvement of China’s government, the attacks are so deliberate, “it’s hard to believe it’s not government-driven,” the official said.

I read a similar article today from Yahoo Australia (Yahoo Article), it doesn't say that it was definetly from China but it's pretty obvious it was.

I wouldnt put it past the Chinese government to orchestrate an e-attack on the DoD. Coupled with their latest stunt of making more space debris on command, it seems logical that they would continue to further install fear and uncertainty within the US govt.

This goes both ways... the US has their own hacker assualt team as well, and they're not chumps either. How do you think they know what's going on?

Hehe, kinda funny about them being surprised the Chinees goverment is behind it or allowing it.

What does it matter anyways? If its ok for Israel and the US to do this, why be surprised China does it?

And for whoever comes in here next and whines at me for dragging Israel into this, guess who has the biggest budget and well known goverment sponsored hackers group in the world.

Not that I don't believe that the US and Isreal have their own Electronic intelligence, but what leads you to say Isreal has the biggest budget for sponsored hackers? Do you have sources for this claim?
