For about the past five years, when I happen to glance at digital clocks, a suspicious amount of times I find that they display three 2's- i.e., either 2:22AM/PM or 12:22AM/PM. I wonder what's going on. Do you have any ideas? I read Whitley Streiber's book about how aliens did some suspicious(and very obvious) things to him. Also, of course, 222 means "change, change, change".

I should add that it might have something to do with that I'm a 44 yr. old male who lives with his mom, on SSI, doesn't work, no girlfriend, no close relationships. So 222 may be telling me to "change! change!!, change!!!" In some languages 2 means "change".

I have been noticing the same sort of occurence. Only my number is 11. Constantly waking up on my own at 9:11 exactly, or checking the time it'll be something like 8:11.

I have also noticed the number 17 being quite reoccuring in my life. I did a little math and such and it's pretty interesting. Who knows though, might just be in our heads.

Can the Mods sticky a single recurring number thread? It is very interesting, I have the 11:11 virus myself, but myself and I'm sure others are sick of reading a new number thread every day. In my opinion, enough people are curious about it to warrant a sticky thread.

Just a thought.

have you ever kept a log of your experiences ? have you ever written down literally every time you've glanced at a clock during an entire day ?

that would be step one to examining this phenomena, otherwise it has to be chalked up to simple selective perception, which is to say you ignore times that aren't significant, or don't have patterns, and notice times that do.

Speak for itself on this matter, which I have had for years, numbers mean things, I'm very interested in numbers.
I also have deja vu experiences daily sometime two or three time a day, with noted proof from friends. If anyone is interested in more info. on this matter just let me know.

Im interested! I also get the deja vu feeling on a regular basis. The number I see the most is 11:44. I dont totally understand it.

In what language does the number "2" mean change?

AAC

In Hebrew. 2 in Hebrew is Shnayim(the yim is a plural sign) The root is ShN. ShaNaH=year, as in Rosh Hashanah- the New Year. SheeNOoEe=change(as in the "Change" party in Israel). ShaNaI=transformer.
On the other hand, there are many Hebrew words based on this root which mean "to repeat". Maybe this refers to doing something again but in a slightly different manner(i.e., change).
I lied. I don't know other languageS where two means change. Only Hebrew. Sorry. But it makes sense. You got one...

.....hate to say but numbers are just numbers.

you may have an uncanny ability to glance at a clock and see a number, u just happened to see 'multiples' off various times... but really...

its nothing but random chance............

I gaurantee you, If I made you look at the clock 100 times , in 10 minutes... every number u look at will relate, multiply or have some 'previous' relation to a memory you have.

I have had the same experience over the last year or two.
But for some reason the numbers seem to be declining.

last year i was seeing 04:44 and 05:55 and 03:33
This year i am seeing most common 22:22 or 02:22
and just recenltly 11:11 and 01:11
Maybe it has no relevence or maybe its our lifeline clicking away !
Like most things I guess we will never know in this life time

I know this is a forum and without discussion there would be no threads, but ATS's tag is 'Deny Ignorance'. This should mean that a certain amount of reasoned thinking should go into one's posts. Numbers, beyond physical count systems, are a human construct. This especially applies when marking time.

If you see a clock that reads 9.11, many people will make a connection with the attacks on American soil in September of 2001. Everyone, with a clock, will eventually see this number and of those, a fraction will see that number again whilst they still have a conscious memory of the first occurence; thus, the memory is strengthened and creates the speculation that it may occur a third time. Suddenly, after having checked the clock as normal, perhaps 15 or 20 times, over the following few days and coincidentally you see that number, or one that could resemble that number (11.09, 1.19 etc.), or indeed, one that has a historically connection with 9.11, suddenly you are marked for seeing that number for some higher reason.

During my 21st year I awoke at the same time, without the use of an alarm clock, three days running. Could this mean something? Taking a rational view; I have woken up 10,000 times in my life and I shouldn't take exception that I did so at the same time for three days running. I don't remember if it happened or not, but had I seen that same time over the following week on another clock, or an inversion of that time, would I have been convinced that this number meant something to me?

I'm not saying that anything to do with numbers is bogus, but if you really think you see a number over and over, get a notepad and write down every number you see. Then work out how many times you have seen the 'special' number. You may learn that you see it no more than any other number and that it is, indeed, just the fulfillment of your conscious expectation. Yet, if you do find you see that number 20 times more than any other number, you'll be able to provoke discussion with documentated experience.

I all ways find I get a lot of 11:58s and 7:06s

11:58 might happen becasue you are more aware of times like midday and midnight so are more likely to be checking a time near that period.

The 7:06 freeked me out because of the 6 hours and 66 minutes thing...

Interesting ideas though ;-)

I see what you mean & I agree that with most people this is true. I think some people just *want to experience this phenomenon & so they have programmed their brains to see these numbers.
I do believe that the phenomenon is true though & that for some people it is happening for a reason.
Like with me, I notice the numbers 7, 11 (and multiples of), & 17. I don't only see these numbers on a clock. I see them everywhere. Like at the store yesterday I bought a few groceries & my total came to $17.11. I also notice these numbers in news articles. Several times I have been driving & a truck in front of me would have these numbers on it. Things like that. I also experience deja vu frequently. I think I have a basic understanding of why this is happening but Im open to learn more about it. It weirded me out at first but now I enjoy it.

Well for me I tend to see 11:11 and most others but always sequentials as well as 12:34 and 1:24 quite a bit as well. I know some people think there is nothing to this, but it happens to so many.

I just wonder if there is anything to it. I really do.

PHARAOH1133'S Response.
Just for starters, the way it usually happens is well : let me give you yesterdays deja vu, which this is just an example on how it works with me in different forms, meaning with me it comes not always the same way all the time , but here goes.
Have you ever seen that silly Yellow Book commercial with David Carridine, he's the master, well when I was watching that commercial I thought to myself Boy I really did miss his KungFu show that he did way back in the day, and said to myself I wish I could watch it some more, and so I flip through the channels and there it is just starting to play, I never seen the listing before or for that matter watched it in a very long time, so this is the kind of stuff that happens to me several times a day.

The numbers thing happens with every minute that passes, every time I look at the clock the number I see, what ever it might be(Usually they are always the same numbers), has some connecting symbol or makes me remember certain events or a person, I could go on but just want to know if you or anyone else might be interested in conversing further.
Here are my numbers which I feel have meaning to me: (2,5,7,9,11,17,21,22,29,33,34,38,43,49,56,63,72,77,83,92, are just some)
Bye for now.

Someone suggests that I should write down every number I see and if my numbers(222) come up much more than expected then I have some real evidence.
To this, I recall the double slit physics experiments and when they tried to catch the photons/electrons red handed, they couldn't. I assume that my trying to note times in a log will act the same way. As T. Mack. said: "Not only is truth stranger than fiction, it' stranger than we can imagine."
