Yes is it absolutely possible you were hacked. Your firewall can alert you all it wants but if you had a trojan on your computer (which all anti-virus/Firewalls can NOT catch) and with shared memory you can manipulate MSN. So anything is possible.

Well I've never seen anything with %100 percent proof myself my friend! But alas, I managed to do what I could, the fact is it comes down to taking someones word, the last thing I ever planned on doing would be to spend a week of my time posting a paranormal event! xD

As for the feedback, I being there myself can tell you It wasn't feedback, the sound of the feedback is quite clear itself in the audio. (The really high pitched echo for instance.) And mind you these noises were happening being my volume was even turned up.

I really hope you guys are enjoying the audio, I plan on releasing a CLEANED version of this as well, where the static has been eliminated. (But, the audio is distorted at times.)

As for Pwner, I thank you for the feedback as well, and I wouldn't mind trying it again, but I really think it was a one-time deal, but worth a try mate!

Very well, I don't suppose you can prove this to us? I'd love to see it.

Yes, thank you for adding this. I prefer to not point fingers but rather look for a reasonable explanation. I would like to hear your clean audio. I know we have audio experts here, and if their willing to check it out I'm sure they will note it in the thread.

I've had experiences when I was younger (9 and 15) in the home I grew up in. I do believe, so I am not saying I do not. You may have better luck with a cleaned up version of the audio.

Good Luck

The only thing it did was get rid of the static sadly, but aside from that, yep, not much more I can say but yet again, this was not hoaxed my comrades.

That was certainly intriguing. You guys probably have something here.

Various explanations would possibly be, you got yourself a set of demon-possessed speakers, or someone was pulling a joke on you. Not sure if that last one is possible, but I'll leave it open because I'm not sure.

Well, I hope you guys start to really look this over and put it through a few tests.

Enjoy your find.

well you two more thain likely were not faking that. It sounded like you realy believed that you were speaking to an elderly lady from beyond the grave.

My only problem was both of you talked way too much lol. For me banging isnt realy that spooky. and breathing? not gonna do it either. But I did get the impression that something was on the other end of that conversation between you two.

So good find on the EVP
and I am sorry to say that you two talk too much

when you got this EVP is it something that you two could possibly get going again? can you replicate the circumstances? If so here is a little bit of advice for you...

Ghosts are power hungry things. They like energy. So if you happen across the ghost in the machine again turn on all the electical devices in your home. that may give it enough energy to be able to speak to you...

Listen more thain you talk... ask direct questions but listen for the answers.

Other thain that pretty cool I hope you can replicate the event again someday. Ghost in the machine. pretty cool find...

im going to try and isolate the frequencys tommorow on my computer and see if i can clear the sound up, i have some fairly good studio monitor speakers setup, ill slow down the morse code bit and have a listen too, and get back to you guys on this thread if i notice anything, i dont have much experience yet with sound engineering, but i do have a bit of a home studio setup that should be ok for messing with these.

there might be other members with pro audio setups with more experience messing with stuff like this, im still fresh into pro audio stuff.

if at all possible do you have a non mp3 version of these files that can be uploaded anywhere, the compression ruins alot of the frequency range, a .wav file would be perfect.

the only explanation i have is that somebody was joking with you guys, if they be via a trojan or whatever on your computer, or via some kind of radio i dont know.

i dont feel as if you guys are faking it, because it seams you can hear the stress in joes voice and he seams genuinely weirded out.

so as for now i guess its unexplained, i dont doubt you guys for now, ill have a closer listen to the audio tommorow.

I do have the original audio which was in .wav format, which Joe reformatted into a .mp3 format.

I can email the original file to your MSN, if you want me to.

And for those who say we talked to much, remember that is was an internet chat conversation, what do you expect for us to do
?

*knock*
"What was that?"
"IDK"
*silence*

Plus, I doubt it was a Trojan, as both my anti-spyware and anti-virus programs will both alert me if I have downloaded a Trojan onto my computer.

Your computer plays recordings of things recorded in your computer room
If you have a microphone connected to your computer, the hacker can record and listen to what is going on in the room. Sometimes the non-stealth hacker will play the sound file back when he knows you are in the room.

The Rbot-GR virus follows a fairly traditional malware route of exploiting Microsoft security vulnerabilities and installing a Trojan horse on infected machines. However, the worm also spies on users by taking control of their Webcam and microphone, then sending images and soundtracks back to the hackers, according to antivirus firm Sophos. The Rbot-GR worm spreads via network shares, exploiting a number of Microsoft security vulnerabilities, installing a backdoor Trojan horse as it travels. The worm specifically looks for computers that already have been infected with the MyDoom worm.

Remote access Trojans such as Sub 7 consist of two parts. One part that resides on the victim's computer and the Control module that resides on the Intruder's machine. Using the control interface the intruder can take control of your computer, flip your background picture, Speak out of your speakers, reboot your computer or do serious damage to your machine and do pretty much whatever he or she chooses. However these days most Trojans are being used to turn your computer into a Zombie. In other words the intruder will be able to use your computer and a bunch of other infected computers like yours and turn them into an army of zombies to attack a more important target. This way the intruder can hide his or her own trace and use your computer as a front. This means the victim's firewall will show your IP address in the log as the attacker's IP and you may end up with several complaint letters to your ISP and even lose your account as a result.

What is a Trojan

One of the best known backdoor applications available, Sub7, arrives as a Trojan which is subsequently installed by the unsuspecting user. Sub 7’s popularity stems from its simplicity of use and the vast array of simple options, making it a powerful tool even for users with limited technical knowledge (script kiddies). Sub 7 contains a vast amount of entertaining tricks such as allowing the attacker to pass voice messages to be played through the victim’s speakers or flipping the victims screen upside-down.

That is interesting,I have heard of the Zombie robot stuff before,my brother was a serious hacker and he told me about how no one could catch him because he was hiding behind other users computers around the world.Hackers can do really weird stuff to your computer.

I already know that this was not a Trojan. McAfee has alerted me several times to the fact that a Trojan has been downloaded onto my computer. It also isolated it and erased it.

And, after a thorough search of Shadowy's computer, there were NO malware, spyware, adware, Trojans, or viruses on his computer.

Even if either of us did have this type of Trojan on either computer, why would a "hacker" just do this to us on one occasion. I would doubt a hacker would install a program onto my computer and just screw with me one time and then never hear from him again. Every time we would get on MSN, it would be a normal conversation. After the event occurred, our conversations were back to normal.

Also, I doubt a hacker would be able to make noises without any background noise or laughing or any other noises.

So, there you have it.

This was definitely something, folks.

Well last night at 1:00 AM I also heard several voices coming through my speakers and again this morning at 9 AM ,just people having MSN chat conversations that leak through, never assume that your MSN chats are private, they are not 100 percent secure. If I had a microphone I could have answered the voices if I wanted to.

Sure, you may have been able to hear them, but I doubt they could hear you.

Plus, those were just chunks of a converation that flew off. You couldn't respond to them because you did not have a direct connection. However, what we heard was able to hear what we were saying and respond to what we said, as opposed to random voices.

I'm going to have to point out here, at no point is there any spoken words aside from me and Joe here. I myself before recording heard nothing close to a humans voice, and note, the recording shows communication to my words, but never a word spoken, if this was someones MSN conversation, I don't see how it's a conversation, it's strange noises and responses to questions, not someone talking to a friend about how the day at the office went.

Anything you hear on the internet is most positively garbled communications from the millions of people using VOIP or microphone chatting ...not ghosts
and If I really wanted to play a joke on somebody with weird noises, there are easy Hacker methods to invade an MSN chat .

Exactly. That's why it couldn't have been a coincedence.

It wasn't random garbled words.

It actually responded to our questions, not just random bumps and noises. And If it was a hacker, why has it NEVER happened again?
