Bottom line,

It is possible there are pyramids in Antarctica.

No one can say there isn't and no one can say there is.

It's ignorant to claim there isn't any pyramids in Antarctica and it's ignorant to claim there is one.

The absolute truth about this subject for everyone on this planet is that it's unknown for now.

There is no room for arguing about this, the only ones who are right are the ones who are open minded and knows that no one knows yet.

It is possible there are pyramids in Antarctica

yeah you know you're right
provided they were built by aliens and provided they were constructed more than 35 million years ago there might be pyramids in Antartica

Just to let you know i took you off my ignore list.

It is possible there are no pyramids in Antarctica and it is possible there is.

No one knows for sure.

And no i never insulted anyone for not believing what i believe because i don't believe in anything anyone else does, we are all different afterall.

I do however think it's naive to claim there are no pyramids in Antarctica when the fact remains simply that no one knows if there is or if there isn't and to claim to know there isn't is very ignorant.

what you say doesnt make any sense at all
youre claiming that something we know about could be there when we know it couldn't
unless you have a strong belief in either
1) aliens building pyramids
2) humans who are happy to build huge things in sub zero temperatures
3) that meterologists have made a big error when they proved that the antartic has been ice covered for 35 million years

so what youre claiming is like saying
theres no reason why a man who shoots himself in the face with a 35 mm howitzer won't live a full and happy life afterwards

you can try that if you like
but you gotta know
I don't fancy your chances

Marduk,
your ignorance mislead us all... It seams that you know something, but it is incomplete, Mr. Scientist. (Dragonlike is crucifying Marduk

Dorset culture

These civilizations, becouse it is a civilization to managing a life in such unfavorable conditions, continue their lifes. Notice that the summers can have temperatures reaching into the 80s°F (near 30°C), while in the winter, the temperature can fall below −60°F (-52°C).

Check your wiki files for authentication if my words are untrustworthy to you...

hey good find sherlock
noe for an encore
now show me a wiki article that says either of these cultures
1) build huge things
2) live in antartica
3) even know what a pyramid is

if you can't go get yourself a 35 mm howitzer
youve got more chance of that one

Marduk,
I don't know what are you trying to fulfill...
I have never said:

''Hey ATS folks everywhere
your attention please
today i am going to make a revelation worthy ATS-history to remember
So before i start give me 2,000,000,000,000,000 ATS points
Now i am going to tell you something that no ones know
What?
Come on guess...
Ok, ok.
It's...
Pyramids in Antarctica and i am 1,000,000% sure with links, photos, videos, personal experience in Antarctic ice
and lot of interview from researchers, scientists, journalists, tourists, scholars
and
bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla''

I said to write down comments,
what do you believe,
use your imagination pig-Marduk-headed guy and make your story as you already did
and let others tell their opinion...

Antarctica is a mystery and mystery is good to explore through imagination (before real expeditions initiate)

They're at the NORTH pole. Not the South pole.

Conditions are very different there. The Dorset culture and Inuit/Eskimos live in conditions like are found in modern Iceland, where it is possible for grass to grow and other plants to flourish during part of the year. There's a lot of land animals there.

The SOUTH pole is basically a desert covered with snow. Off the coast there are no animals, and things never actually warm up to the point where there's unfrozen tundra with permafrost below.

Very different environment. Not the same.

Are you assuming that Antarctica hasn't been explored in detail? That's not correct.

The first exploration was in 1603, and people have been mapping and exploring it ever since then. In the 1930's, it was divided up into areas and different governments had control of different pieces of the land. Permanent bases were established, and expeditions of up to 4000 men went through the land. :
www.antarcticaonline.com...

Areas of interest were looked at thoroughly.

How thoroughly? Well, we've discovered dinosaur fossils and fossils of plants from the time of the dinosaurs. We travel to the interior to mark the effects of global pollution. It's been photographed by plane and by satellite. And there are many tour companies that take tourists to Antarctica every year.

www.ietravel.com...

www.peregrineadventures.com.au...

Even college classes take tours to Antarctica for research
dml.cmnh.org...

So it's a very very busy place.
encarta.msn.com...

Now... I think you will agree that dinosaurs are much smaller than pyramids, yes?

So if they can find something as small as a dinosaur (the nodosaur is only about 6 feet long www.enchantedlearning.com... ) then they're not going to miss a human built pyramid.

Ok. let's assume for the moment that there are no pyramids on the Antarctic continent to be found. This still doesn't negate the possibility, however likely/unlikely it may be, that some ancient civilization may once have lived there. The reason that I say this is because there is evidence of habitation by other creatures at one time, which means that it was once in a warmer climate. This could mean that there was a group of people, for lack of a better term, living in the area along with the other creatures.

The point here is that there's no evidence either way. And, as I've said before, the lack of evidence is not proof of anything. Just because we haven't found anything doesn't mean that it isn't there. We may just not be looking in the right places.

Byrd,
Come on now,
You underestimate my common thinking
Of course i was not stupid to say that these civilizations were and are in Antarctica
Today we have the only people in research labs...
I just answered Marduks post, proving that human can live in any condition adapting new ways of behaviour...

assume for a moment ?
are you just incapable of reason Borg
there are no pyramids in antartica

The reason that I say this is because there is evidence of habitation by other creatures at one time,

over 60 million years ago

This still doesn't negate the possibility, however likely/unlikely it may be, that some ancient civilization may once have lived there

in that case you dont know anything at all about ancient civiliations
the oldest found so far dates vacb 7000 years
Antartica hasn't been capable of supporting life for over 35 million years
hows your math

The point here is that there's no evidence either way.

actually there is no evidence that what you say ever happened
there is tons and tons of evidence that it never happened which you have chosen to ignore
thats just plain ignorance on your part buddy
wake up and smell the cofee
youre being incredibly obtuse

Just because we haven't found anything doesn't mean that it isn't there

thats exactly what it means
an absence of evidence is evidence of absence

I just answered Marduks post, proving that human can live in any condition adapting new ways of behaviour...

you answered it by proving that there is no life in antartica nor has there ever been any pyramids there
well done

Based on current human knowledge, it is highly improbable that there are any manmade pyramids in Antarctica, other than structures built within the past 2 centuries or so.

Just as it's highly improbable that there are any 20ft fluffy pink bunnies living on the Moon.

And anyway, why stop at pyramids? Why not argue that there could be castles or cathedrals in Antarctica? There's no evidence for them either, so the probably of them existing is just as high

You still make mistakes, Marduk...As a scientist you claim you are then, you should be more specific!!!
There is no life in Antarctica?!
Sorry, but you should check for microorganisms, penguins, underwater fishes and algae, not to mention the grass in many places...

Prove it that there are not Pyramids
and don't start telling: I dunno see anything
better start with melting all the ice to see what's hidding there!
My standpoint is that you shouldn't melt anything or we will sunk all as Atlandis once from melting the glaciers of Europe

Prove it that there are not Pyramids

I don't need to prove that there aren't any pyramids
that is the accepted position
the onus is on you to prove that there are
so far the only people claiming that there might be are ignorant of every factor that went into making the pyramids that we do know about
and ignorance my friend is not money in the bank

I guess the real question should be...proof of ancient civilisation?

Once again, there is none yet. I have been looking at pictures of Antarctica, man that is one barren Island. The proof would be along the coast, under the ice being ground to pieces, not so much in the middle.

Would that be reasonable?

no
all civilisations that are currently known to science thrived because of trade
for this reason you can find accounts of civilisation in the texts of their neighbours
noone mentions antartica at all
and this is going to be the last time I point this out in a reasonable manner
it has BEEN COVERED IN ICE FOR 35 MILLION YEARS
JEEEESUS CHRIIIIST don't you guys know anything

ok so maybe not so reasonable but I'm getting a little tired in pointing out the huge drawback to your speculations

I wouldn't be 100% sure about it! What tell me that some civilization didn't colonize that area (temporally) and calling it with an other name not particularly Antarctica

BEEN COVERED IN ICE FOR 35 MILLION YEARS

Mt Erebus is a still active Volcano making the place far more warmer.
Mount Erebus is among the 160 active volcanos of the Pacific ring of fire...

In antarctica there are other 3 inactive volcanos, perhaps there were active at the age of a time long ago making the climate more warmer...

If still i am untrustworthy i shall find videos in the UTube of people swiming in antarctica near crevices of volcanic activity

well you wouldn't thats true
but every archaeologist, scientist, meteorologist, historian, anthropologist and anyone else who believes in empirical data including me would disagree with you
now why do you think that might be

Disagree with what?
Antarctiaca is an unexplored (thoroughly) continent...
how a rational archaeologist, scientist, meteorologist, historian, anthropologist would say anything about a mystery regarding science???

Ok, here is the video (watch it as a scientific video, thanks):
