What was the point of that? If you don't care about it then why did you even post?

Anyway I think they'd only make you the offer if they really needed you for something. And if you declined but they still really needed you then i'd expect them to make an 'offer that you can't refuse' kind of thing.

I majored in criminal justice in college. I received a bachelor's degree and went around filling out applications. I have been told essentially by the government, by government employees, that since I have collected welfare that I would not be hired because of "conflict of interests". So I have a degree and tens of thousands in student loans and will never be able to work in my field because the government has my SS# flagged as collecting government assistance. I did not even tell them, they ran that check on my SS# when I applied for the jobs. Had I been informed of this prior to this, I would not have majored in a worthless subject matter for my background. I was not given informed consent. Instead I was shown these charts all my life telling me how much more money I would make with a degree versus just a high school diploma.

I have been filling out applications for regular, nondegree jobs and have been turned down for consideration because they tell me that I am "overqualified." So, all I did by working my butt off throughout school was educate myself out of my possible job market. I have been job hunting for years now with no success even though I graduated with honors from a community college and made all As and Bs with high GPA in my major at the university, thus prooving that I am not a lazy good for nothing, or at least that should. Heck, when I was in high school I scored 100 avg in algebra for my entire freshman year and got squat for it. I have always worked hard, even though I have nothing to show for it except around $90k in student loans that I apparently will never be able to get the means to pay off. I wish I could go back in time and tell myself not to go to college, but to get the first job I can and work at it until I get made manager. I'd be so much better off. I feel like I have been lied to and used my whole life. The schools sure looked better statistically with my grades afterall. I wish I could flog all of those teachers who kept telling me in school, "work hard, make good grades and you can get a job anywhere" since it is obviously a lie. They kept pretending to be Christians, but one of the ten commandments is "thou shalt not lie." I often look back and hate that kid I used to be for being so naive and trusting.

As such, since the government doesn't want to hire me when I am practically begging for even a job doing something beneath my degree, I sincerely doubt they will come begging or even demanding through threat years down the road that I come work for them. In fact, if they did, the way I feel about them right now after being treated like this all my life, I would probably spit in their faces.

here's my thoughts on "joining them."

I already have, but left. Or did I? I think that once a person has served in the military, you really never leave. Your life becomes a series of documents in a vast electronic system of information that can and has been used to track my movements and my income forever.

Same as you.

The moment you post something here it gets read by an RSS reader at the NSA and processed for relevance. Same thing happens when you talk on the phone. Every single word you say is processed and flagged. The lovely patriot act makes that happen. Don't think so, try saying words like "I want to kill the president" many many times in a conversation with your friend on the other end and see how long it takes for a white van to be parked outside your area.

So, you may not be working for "them" directly, but "they" are working because of you, regardless if you join up today.

I am here for some of the the same reasons as you. I want to force disclosure and keep this planet from destroying itself over natural resources. However, I want to do this without killing people, or putting them in the padded room with box of animal crackers.

I say, keep posting, keep putting the pressure on, never stop. You don't need to join them and they can't help you survive in the end.

Once you were on the inside so to speak, would you want to reveal all. And could you.

It's an interesting question that has been posed and I for one, have had it cross my mind on a couple of occasions. And yes, I felt I would take them down from the "inside"

Lets think about this. If it were me offering the in, I would certainly be wary for the first few months/years. Would I give access to the decent stuff up front. Hell No. Access rights would have to be earned.

Lets pose a question:

One in, you are asked to kill someone as this will prove you and then you may get access to some real information. Would you??

On the thread question, would I join. O YES!!!! Of course I would go in with the mindset to reveal all. But depending on what information you know, would you tell all. Does it matter that much today who killed Kennedy, do we land on the moon, how much does Nixon know and could the US have won Vietnam, and so on.

If you knew the real answer to Roswell, 9/11, Global Warming, Aliens here already, could the world cope with knowing the truth??

I am not so sure.

Even if you were to get inside information, most people would never believe you anyway. And they'd ruin you and you would have done it for nothing.

Give it to Alex Jones, he'd put it to good use, let out a bit at a time.

I've been looking at other countries. I thought Ireland at first, but their website said dependants had to stay in home country for first year and I'm a single mom. So I'm still looking into other options. I would never leave my daughter behind anywhere.

Say WHAT!!?!?! I can understand if you have a felony conviction on your record, but the fact that you've received welfare at some point should not be a disqualifier for employment, and certainly not by the government.

I don't want to hijack the thread, but have you gotten any official communication to that effect, or is this "essentially" from employees? I'd be raising holy hell about that. if it's a federal job, through your congressman. If it's a state job, through your state representative or state senator. If you can get that criterion in writing, I'd bust somebody's chops, HARD.

In fact, I think you ought to take this up with your state rep or congressman in DC. They may be able to help point you in the right direction. They've all got staff people out the wazoo to look into things like that. If nothing else, go to the "call for help" guy at your local TV station or newspaper. A little noise about something like that, well, no one in office wants it. Sometimes you have to raise a little rukus. Those "employees" have "essentially" steered you wrong.

And to the original topic- yeah, I'd join. Unless I have to wear a stupid looking hat.

You're right, you would. I was lucky enough to figure out the lie in middle school.

I followed the plan you wanted , I am 22 and have 40 k in investments and I am about to start college (chem) . I won't be working to pay off debts when I exit college. It will be going into savings. by the age of 40 I'll have more than enough to retire if I want. And since you can't take it with you, I might as well.

I've already taught myself chemistry, I am just going to school for the piece of paper to prove it, get my foot in the door of really great jobs.

I suggest anyone with parents nice enough to let them hang around until 24 go for it.

And if it doesn't work out, you always got the army to fall back on

My daughter has been fed this lie by the school system. All the schools care about is keeping attendance and test scores up so they can get as much money as possible. They don't care about a kid's future. I have been trying to balance it out and teach my kid that she needs to work on her skills/talents. Enhancing ones own talents best prepares the kid for the future. My daughter will always have a home with me. I don't know why there's such a strong desire to go out wasting money on excess housing. Families can save quite a bit by combining resources. I sure wouldn't want my daughter ever to want to join the enemy.

I used to be a sheep that believed what I was told. It's been a scary world since learning truth about things hasn't been as I was taught. Leaving the flock wasn't easy. It's like I woke up one day and realized what's been going on.

Gosh, I feel like I've attended an online AA type meeting.

Or if you do not like them and you can't beat them why not join them and then betray them and take whatever they gave you and use it to resist them?

If you working in corporate america, you may already be. I believe that part of the government is for sale and the rest is hidden, doing whatever it feels like doing on the planet using our tax dollars.

The sad part is that it may be at the point where the regular citizens of this country will never be able to reclaim it.
