I noticed this while looking around Area 51. It looks like a lot of seismic activity in the late 70s and in the 80's. Could this have been caused by underground drilling and tunneling for the underground base? Ive looked in the Archuleta Mesa area and do not see any seismic activity so im kinda thinking it just may be the area that Area 51 is and not due to drilling.

The seismic activity you are seeing there are underground nuclear explosions. The area is called Yucca Flat and has been used for nuclear related testing for decades.

There has been some unknown seismic activity closer to the base though. See my thread here:
