ATS recomends products?

I was trying to find some good products to check out and I couldnt find anything in ATS where someone reccomends a product, is that due to the T&C?
I heard that some cellphones give cancers or burst into flames, so which one is good?
I would like a cellphone that has a camera and is able to take videos and doesnt cost a whole paycheck so does anyone reccomend anything?

maybe there can be a new section where members test products and stuff and rate them there are many sites where products are tested and reviewed but they are untrustworthy and have their own agendas.

People (especially very new members) are generally prohibited from advertising their own products, however I don't think there's any ban on recommending things.

I, for one, have never gotten cancer from a cell phone or had one spontaneuosly combust while holding it, so really I can't say anything about this topic, but perhaps other members do.

Majic, now why in the heck you have to outsource your labor to China? Or is that Japanese?

The only official endorsement I have ever seen here was for the Sumo Lounge, during one of the previous ATS Games.

The problem is simply with people using ATS for their own personal gain.

So, if I say I really recommend Macs over PCs any day, I've not done anything wrong.

However, if I say I recommend the Motorola RAZR phone which you can purchase by clicking here for fantastic prices... then yes, I've violated the T&C by using ATS for my own personal financial gain.

Understandably, someone wishing to advertise something on ATS absolutely MUST get approval from the owners.

if i want to find out about a product i usually go to www.epinions.com... it's a place where people who buy things can rate them so others can see what they think about this or that item.

choice.com.au has always been a good source for unbiased product 'ratings'.

Cell phones used to give cancer. Those giant "Zack Morris" brick ones. Since cell phones have gotten smaller, they hardly have any power or give off any radiation at all. Studies have been done and concluded that cell phones no longer give you cancer.

As for flames, I dunno. Just make sure not to buy anything from Sony and you're probably good .

I personally don’t think ats should have any part in recommending products. Maybe if they have something to do with educational books, movies etc, that have some bearing on what we are discussing here. Even then that may pose a bias for one side of the discussion. Ats is a place where I TRY to get away from all the ads and buy this or lease that BS. I understand that ads help this and any website run, and that’s all good. But…if you want to shop, compare and so on, checkout epinions, cnet, or the many other sites that may be out there.

That's funny, although reading this has made me re-think my thoughts....
ATS could be a great place discuss products in genral, the potential dangers, gimics etc.

Like: Hybirds are good for blah blah blah.

We should avoid: "Honda's" new hybird with blah blah blah sells for x and you should stop reading and go by one.

OK I went to the local mall and asked several stores about cellphones and it was a horrible realization for me about the contracts they all have. I think that I will stay away from cellphones for awhile besides I dont need to call anyone that much.
I guess it was a bad idea all around, also I found that most of the online places that have tested things and reviewed them want you to pay for the results.
Funny how I ask for a good cellphone and you guys try and sell me tinfoil but I guess I set myself up for that in a way.
After thinking about an ATS recomends area it would be too much work and would cause distraction and problems, it wouldnt be such a good idea and probably should be avoided.

People should simply buy more fish. They don't buy enough fish. Fish is good for you. Please buy more fish.

One time I liked mincemeat very well.

I think we should all eat more mincemeat.

Although I don't eat mincemeat anymore.

So maybe none of us should eat mincemeat.
