First off like to say a big hello to all fellow ATS members. After being somewhat of a lurker I thought I would finally post. I found this newspaper article while leafing through a book I borrowed from the local library, a Carl Jung book. Thought it was quite freaky not sure if the date is correct. Imagine if this technology was available back in 72? What sort of stuff do the have now! Makes you think.

Great find thedigirati, Confirms the date of this article. So 35 years to refine this tech. Or perhaps a bit of cold war propoganda. Thoughts???

Nothing wrong with the theory, but progress in laser-induced fusion has been very slow over the last 40 years. These days I doubt anyone would take it seriously as the trigger for a weapon, but it might provide the (Co2-free) fusion power of the future once they get power and containment issues sorted out. Another 20 years?
