Strange Odour in London

Well its 21:10 here in NW London and there is a strange sweet smeeling odour in the area. It reminds of spray paint but its not.

I smelt it a quarter of a mile from my house an hour ago and can smell it even more at home.

Its so strong its almost nauseating.

Can anyone else in the London area also smell it?

Does it smell like maple syrup?

There have been a couple reported incidents of that type of smell here in the US....

Having never had Maple Syrup I couldn't say, my GF says no, she also says it smells like biro ink

its ok now, i just had a bath, the smell is gone. lol

What did you use to wash, Napalm?.......

My first thught was that it was aircraft fuel, but it doesn't smell as nice as that. And if an aircraft were dumping fuel it would normally occur over a body water such as the Atlantic or the Channel.
