I remember in 1992, I was driving home from work late one evening when I saw something very similar to the meteor in the vid streaking Northward (I
live in Pennsylvania). It was visible to me for a few seconds while it traveled through my field of view from the top of my windshield until it
dissapeared over the horizon in front of me. I'm an astonomy buff, so I knew exactly what It I just witnessed -- a meteor.
The cool part about this story was later that night, my brother who lives in Maryland (who is also an amateur astronomer of sorts) called me to tell
me the largest meteor he ever saw streaked across his sky earlier that evening. We both saw the same meteor, even though we live 200 miles from each
other...what are the odds!
A couple of days later there was a TV report about a woman in New York Stae whose car got hit by a meteorite a few nights earlier...probably the same
one my brother and I saw!
