aid.

SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korea heads into talks with the region's main powers this week with signs the impoverished state may be ready to agree to an
initial deal over demands it stop building a nuclear arsenal in exchange for aid.
"North Korea is feeling the heat," said Chun Bong-geun, a senior researcher at South Korea's Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security. "I
don't think it will be a huge deal. It'll be something small."
North Korea did agree in 2005 to scrap its nuclear weapons programme in exchange for aid and security guarantees.
But it then walked away from the talks, incensed by a U.S. clampdown on its overseas finances, only returning to them last December.

Looks like some good came from sanctioning North Korea. Sometimes a little pressure can stop people go ballistic (pun included). The only problem is
they may agree to stop producing fissile material for nuclear missiles , but according to analysts, North Korea has enough material hidden to make at
least 6 - 8 nuclear missiles.
Hopefully these talks will come to a good agreement, and stop this (nuclear) power struggle. Nuclear technology that fell into the wrong hands can
also wreck havoc... Let's hope that N Korea didn't decide to "share" these material to certain "allies".
What do you people think? A bit different from the doom and gloom from the Middle-East... Now its doom and gloom from North Korea.
