Well, it's that time of year again....when all of our old favorites are dragged out and aired over and over and over again.
What are your faves, and the ones you just have to watch?
Mine are:
1. The Christmas Story (you'll shoot your eye out)
2. The Grinch (Original animated one....James Earl Jones narrates, 'nuff said)
3. It's a Wonderful Life (Merry Christmas movie house!)
4. Miracle on 34th Street (Yes Virginia, there really is a Santa Claus)
5. The Santa Clause (You didn't read the fine print... This is a great movie that answers just about every question a kid would have about Santa,
and has become one of my all time favorites and a true classic, I still tear up when the guy gets his weenie whistle...)
6. Santa Claus: the movie (made in the 80's I think, with Dudley Moore as an elf...great for the back story of the origins of Santa Claus)
7. Rudolf (She thinks I'm cute!...While many are unaware of his origins as a Montgomery Wards sales gimick...this is a great tradition (the
claymation style version, I think Fred Astaire narrated)
8. Frosty the Snowman (the claymation version, Burl Ives narrated this one I think)
9. Christmas Vacation (it's just damned funny)
10. Any of the old school claymation specials that spawned from those above....
