Well, it's that time of year again....when all of our old favorites are dragged out and aired over and over and over again.

What are your faves, and the ones you just have to watch?

Mine are:

1. The Christmas Story (you'll shoot your eye out)
2. The Grinch (Original animated one....James Earl Jones narrates, 'nuff said)
3. It's a Wonderful Life (Merry Christmas movie house!)
4. Miracle on 34th Street (Yes Virginia, there really is a Santa Claus)
5. The Santa Clause (You didn't read the fine print... This is a great movie that answers just about every question a kid would have about Santa, and has become one of my all time favorites and a true classic, I still tear up when the guy gets his weenie whistle...)
6. Santa Claus: the movie (made in the 80's I think, with Dudley Moore as an elf...great for the back story of the origins of Santa Claus)
7. Rudolf (She thinks I'm cute!...While many are unaware of his origins as a Montgomery Wards sales gimick...this is a great tradition (the claymation style version, I think Fred Astaire narrated)
8. Frosty the Snowman (the claymation version, Burl Ives narrated this one I think)
9. Christmas Vacation (it's just damned funny)
10. Any of the old school claymation specials that spawned from those above....

I really like all of those you have listed Gaz... but you have left out one of the "Very" best ones. A Charlie Brown Christmas... ("it's not really that bad of a tree after all, it just needs a little love")

But I do really enjoy all of the ones you have listed... there are some very good Christmas movies.

So I guess my list would be:
1. A Charlie Brown Christmas
2. How the Grinch Stole Christmas... The "Original one"
3. Rudolf
4. Frosty
5. The Santa Clause
6. Miracle on 34th street
7. National Lampoons' Christmas
8. A Garfield Christmas Special
9. Babes in Toyland (Drew Barrymore)
10. Ernest Saves Christmas

Honorable Mention:

A Mom For Christmas
(A young girl who wants a mom for the Christmas holidays gets her wish when a department store mannequin comes to life.)
Jack Frost

Jingle all The Way
(Parents really appreciate this movie...haha)

Scrooged (I really like the ghost that beats him up...lol)

The Nutcracker

and finally
The Home Alone movies

Rudolph was voiced by the great Burl Ives, just to update.

One of my favorites is "White Christmas," with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye.
