Personality types in psychology explain as well as anything else most of what you are talking about. Introvert vs. Extrovert. Have you read on this any? I know it's not a enlightening mystical theory on why this happens, but I think you should know about this as you explore the possibilities, so you can discern when it is in fact a matter of I vs. E.
If you are an introvert like me, and you get around loud people who have a lot of energy, like you talk about, and you are tired, you will usually not feel good. And like you say, they seem to be very happy and positive, they are even rubbing off on others (you can practically see this happen), but not rubbing off on you! This sounds exactly like an I vs. E scenario.
The main reason I believe this is because in my experience, people that make me feel the way you described... they have positive energy, they rub off on otheres, their positive attitude is contagious, but they don't always make me feel good. This is personality clashing, not that they are negative.
There is only so long an introvert can continue to be affected by this energy from outside, no matter what it is, until enough is enough. Eventually, any energy of any kind is unwelcome, the Introvert needs to just listen to his own energy a while and regroup (for lack of a better word) or something.
