who would stand and fight

ok

lets get a little hypothetical (sp.?) for a second
tomorrow morning alien ships appear over earth
by tuesday the world is falling apart through fear
wednesday the landings begin
aliens with superior weaponry and technology but who it seems do not simply want to destroy us from orbit as they want us as slaves etc,

now obviously most people would fight this as far as they could
but has anyone made serious plans or even properly constructed ideas of what they would do if such a thing happened

Well, we could always sleep with the windows open, get a good cold, a start sneezing all around. Earth invaders don't usually survive a flu.

Seriously though, if they had far superior weapons and technology, I'm not sure there's a lot that could be done.

PersonallyI guess I would probably fight to the death if it came down to it.

Not something that I've thought about really as I have stated before, I'm not really into the whole UFO thing, although with all the latest sightings I am becoming more interested.

I actually haven't put a lot of preparation toward an alien invasion, it just doesn't seem like something you can really plan for.

Though I like to think I wouldn't be a total coward.

If I soil myself but still stand and fight does that count?

I would hope I wouldn't but its a freaking alien invasion cut me some slack.

I think this hostile take, however theoretical, on extra terrestrial motives is quite one dimensional. Yes, there are most likely entities with rather dishonorable motives, but there are some who might seem on the outside to be hostile but their agendas go deeper than that and that they have good intentions. Not all entities have dark intentions.

Hmmm, we would have been invaded by now if they were really hostile. But the fact that we have not suggests that we are still to primitive a planet worth taking over or the ailens have a longer term agenda in mind.

He asked a simple question, I dont think he asked how logical his scenario was but what would you do if it happend. I certainly would not go willingly, I am not scared to die nor kill so the aliens better have technology to supress the human rebelious and warlike actions. I dont think Humans could be enslaved on a planetary scale with sucess, some groups of people could be cloned to make a dosile slave race but not most modern humans, most of us would rather die than live under slavery imo.

If they came here and wanted us for food then I would poison myself with as many toxins as I could hoping to kill them when they eat my poisonus corpse! In all reality it would probably be a futile attempt to fight advanced malevolent beings but I would rather die fighting than crying.

I am aware he was asking a question on a theoretical basis, but it nonetheless leaves me somewhat disturbed by it's inferences, not for the human race though. I can't really describe the feeling exactly in such a rudimentary way.

I dont know what they could really want with us...with their advanced technologies what would they need slaves for?

I think they study us for god knows what reason. Also monitor us and how we treat the planet perhaps to inhabit their selves in the future. What else could a super advanced race really want....

I dought we could do anything to fight them if they sucker punched us with no warning. I would think it would happen all at once, swift and quick in means we have no clue or defence to.

At best all you could do is move somewhere super remote with enough supplies to get you adapted to you surroundings and live in a hole like a cockroach for the rest of your life. Thats what i would do....more power to the ones who stay and fight....keep them aliens entertained while I head for the hills....

I rather think some entities manipulate us for their amusement. For a more readily familiar example I use the Sims 2 game as a reference point only because it allows you to control and manipulate little CGI entities in their day to day lives. Who's to say we are not living, breathing Sims to these EBE's?

If such a thing happened, I would ponder on my life.
The thoughts of all the people I've interacted with,
the people I love and things I've done to help people.

I'd wonder about my late parents, their strife with past
wars and how they (hopefully) moulded me into an
upstanding member of my community.

I'd dwell on the struggle already on this planet and on
how I believe we'll be a better race tomorrow.

And then... I'd get my ass into gear and fight them.
I'd kill 'em, all of 'em and dance on their scaly bods.
I'd jam a sign in the moon dust, proclaiming that we're
not ready yet, but one day, if we really work hard,
we'll be the best in the universe.

Give us a little time, but leave us alone for now.

Personally, I dont think they would come down here

The humans race is extremly brutal..

But if they did im sure they would pay the prise, good or bad they would die by are most violent weapons

If they were good I would probably kill one, just to say I did@!!
