Welcome to ATS, i am a bit of a newbie myself, though i have been reading the forums for over a year i have never registered to write posts. It can be confusing at first but you will find your way around in no time!

Welcome to ATS. I used to live in Sliddell and my hubby worked on the base in Belle Chase. His company moved us several months before Katrina. I came back a few months later and was broken hearted at the sight. Hope y'all get back on your feet soon.

Plaqmin's Parish, huh? LOL Thought I'd give you a little taste of the Nawlins accent. I know you must dying to hear it! Slidell is a really nice place to live, but it's very crowded now, since Katrina. I've heard they got hit pretty bad too, although I haven't gotten over there yet.
Thank you for the warm words, we're getting there, slowly but surely.
