Hi everyone,

Wow...nice site, but I must admit it seems a bit confusing compared to forums I normally frequent. I look forward to my visits here and hope that I'm able contribute, "once" I'm able to find my way around here.

Man I love me some N'awlins. Welcome to ATS, don't be confused or overwhelmed, if things go as usual a nice mod or supermod should be along shortly to welcome you and post many helpful links that will familiarize you with the board and make navigation easier.

It's a big board but within a week or so you'll be as used to it as the rest of us....though I'll admit the sheer size of the site can be overwhelming at first.

How are things in New Orleans? I take it things are still a mess...or certainly more of a mess than we see on the news.

Man I love that town! I defy anyone to have a bad meal in that town.

Court of Two Sisters...Mr. B's...dang I'm drooling.

Welcome to ATS have fun.

What a warm welcome, thank you!

Yes, this place seems huge. Guess I just need to take my time and wander around a bit.

Yeah, anywhere outside of the tourist area (French Qtr.) it's a mess. Most of the really good F. Q. restaurants are up and running again. Population down by more than half, but we're moving forward...SLOWLY. It will take many many years to be "normal" again, I'm afraid. But thanks for those nice words.

Have a great weekend!

Years of recovery seems to be the scuttle but...too bad.

Build it and they will come back is a good philosophy but I think the insurance companies are making it tough on people and of course it's the lower income families who had no insurance who as usual will suffer the most.

But as a selfish tourist it's nice to hear that for the most part the french quarter is up and running...or stumbling depending on the day or night.

Have fun.

I've had to refer to the ATS Handbook quite a few times today. Didn't know about the Smokin BBQ threads. Thanks, I'll have a look.

Have a good day, Mechanic!

From the um.. upper 9th ward. But I did catch myself saying "bakry" today instead of bakery. And I did say "where ya at" earlier.

What a mess!

We had one day of sunshine in the past week or two, and I personally crave more.

Have fun on here.

We were so close to a Super Bowl. We set a few records along the way. And I was sure there was a conspiracy in there somewhere...I guess someone found out and shut it down.
Anyway, welcome to ATS!

Well hey, DarkkHero

Yes! We were so close you could taste it! It sure was fun while it lasted.

I, for one, enjoyed every minute of seeing fans in their black and gold everywhere. It was rare to see someone without a smile. The Saints brought the city back to life, if only for a short while. This was the shot in the arm that we so desperately needed.

Looking forward to next year!

Thanks for the welcome, it's much appreciated.

Try to stay dry...and warm. It's suppose to get much colder tomorrow, I think.

If I can help in any way, just send me a U2U.

Well, thank you. I appreciate it.

Yes, it looks as though you've been here a while.

Arkansas? Beautiful country up there, especially the Mountain Home area . We vacationed there on several occasions when I was young.

Thanks again for the offer. I don't think I've ever come across a more hospitable forum.

Hey curiousoutherngal.

Welcome.

I live only a short hop to your east, and I visit NO often.
It's a great place. I love it.

The city will recover, just as we will. It'll take time and, of
course, money.

See ya here,
Ridin
