Okay, I just spent a lot of time reading the O'Hare thread, and it's a damn fine one. I've also noticed that there has been some increased UFO activity in the US lately.

The mainstream media has even gotten involved, and this is typically a subject that behaves like news crytponite.

Okay, now let's take a little leap. Has anyone ever heard that ETs will be the next threat that the government throws at us after "Islamofascist-freedom-and-happiness-hating" terrorists get tired? I looked for links but it's late, I'm tired, and this idea just came to me, so my "looking" was both short and fruitless. Perhaps someone can help me out with this.

ETs will be the new boogy man.

I'm not saying that these recent UFOs have necessarily been manufactured to acclimate the public into eventually accepting ETs as fact.
I am saying that these reports may very well be real, and perhaps they've been "allowed" to be in the news to acclimate the public.

I guess I'm just wondering if this could be the first step.

And when Bill O'Reilly starts talking about ETs "hating America" I need some people to call Bravo Sierra on his ass with me.

And what if you sum up is true? No matter how bad America is, you have to stick with it.

Communism and the 'Domino Theory' scared the world into the Cold War, which ended a lot safer than it may have.

'Terrorism' and 'The Axis of Evil' have replaced that theory and are doing the same. They have created an arms race between the West and East again, with North Korea and Iran both threatening the rest of the world with nuclear weapons and the US responding by planting carrier groups off their coast.

I don't really think the 'Terrorism' scare campaign is over yet, but either way i doubt ETs will replace it.

Most likely move on to blaming another religion or culture...

Its all about keeping the "war machine" moving ahead! War is good for the economy and great for industry. In fact most of the inventions that we take for granted today were born from WW1 and WW2 as a necessity for survival and victory. I know it sounds cruel but isn't this a fact?!

Wars will always take place it just human nature. Heck its even animal nature! People will always find a reason to disagree and thus wars will start. The only problem with this is that recently all the "wars" started by america are all one-sided massacres! They don't even have the guts to face their enemy at the soldier level anymore instead they rely on ultra-smart weapons and mass bombing campaigns.

By the way, since everyone in this forum demands proof of ebe's/ufos(and there are tons of available information on the internet) where is the proof that Iraq actually had nuclear, biological and chemical weapons Eventhough the majority of the UN nations vetoed the plan the USA adamantly stated that a "pre-emptive" strike was absolutely necessary to destroy Iraq's weapons of mass destruction. To date I have seen very little such evidence anywhere and in fact the UN weapons inspector was pleading for more time to conduct further research into the matter and WAS DENIED! So now tell me who is credible and who is not!
