ooooo Last night I had the most bizzare dream. My teeth (the front, and the first left) fell out, and the others shifted to compensate. It was so very real, maybe I was pressing on them in my sleep or something, because when i awoke, they hurt. Has anyone had a similar dream, or know what this could possibly mean? Thanks!

I have also had dreams like that about my teeth... I had one dream, relatively recently, where my teeth just began to fall out by the handfuls... My dad was in the dream,he's been dead for two years, and he said, "No wonder, they are rotten to the root."

Shortly thereafter, I developed an infected wisdom tooth... My jaw swole up like a bulldog..
Eventually,I am going to either have my wisdom teeth cut out, or, deal with the reoccurring flare ups. :shk:

see... I think it's telling me something to watch for. Have you ever heard of this having any meaning? I would love to think its not a warning of horrible things to come! ha.

Ah teeth falling out is a common one,

It tends to mean that you feel kinda out of the loop,

you may feel like your self esteam is kinda low,

It tend to happen when we feel unsure about things,

Has anything changed in your life? And thing new pending?

Well yes. School is starting again after a long break, and I'm off to Australia in June. I also have a new relationship developing which I am highly unsure of... So, yes.. I'm sure all of these things are taken into account. Honestly, I didn't even think of it before your response. Thanks!

Wow, that describes me to a tee.. I have always felt like the outsider looking in. Even when people try to make me feel a part of something, there is just that sense that I am just, as you said, "out of the loop."

I have read in a dream interpretation book that to dream of loosing teeth is a sign that you are losing friends...

If your teeth and gums were sore when you woke, you may wish to get checked for intestinal worms (a common cause of teeth grinding during sleep - it is called Bruxism)

Perhaps you have a lot of movement in your mouth due to growth as well?

Just my 2 cents worth

LOL! In what country? I never heard of that around here.

I've had dreams my teeth were falling out and I was catching them in my hands.

That is quite similar to the dream that I had. I held the teeth in my hands.. and was showing people around me. Then the other teeth started #fing to compensate, it was just completely bizarre.

Intestinal worms are found all over the world...domestic pets can be carriers.

any good medical text book will have Bruxism listed, and

Why is it everytime I post something I get treated like a total fool..

Aussies are stupid and inferior obviously...

I've read that it's a pretty common dream too.

It's probably been with our species forever.
Seems like it would be one of the greatest built-in fears of any higher thinking mammal.

No teeth, no eat, no live.

SPeaking of teeth resistancia, I've always thought your Avatar looks to be flossing regularly. Your dentist would be proud.

Could be a signal to take care of those teeth now or in future. Another meaning to teeth dreams is to be watchful of the words that come out of our mouths.
The dreamer takes the meaning most meaningful to him/her.

Teeth falling out can be social anxiety or indecisiveness in the face of social pressures. The smile is part of a first impression - an immediate intimate connection between the mind and the outside world. How firm and decisive are your own abilities to bite into issues and are you supported and followed through with love by that bite.

I had one very odd dream where I thought I would need large discolored wooden teeth that fit long and wide like a mules. They hung from my mouth in suspect discomfort, an eyesore. I was thinking it must have been what George Washington felt like and I went to the dentist. The whole office gathered to applaud the fact that I wouldn't need George Washington teeth.
Strange.

Well, I think that I am headed to the dentist sometime over the next week, because the dream happened again! either I am having some serious social anxiety (which would be a very rare case for me) or something is going on with my teeth. Maybe i'm just thinking about it too much. who knows

I've had the same dream lately. It happened two times about a week or so ago. I have a false tooth in the top front. In my dream all four top front teeth fell out (well three really if you don’t count my false front) and I was going around talking to people with my hand over my mouth so no one could see. I did feel sooo real. I had a huge sense of embarrassment and insecurity in this dream and when I woke up. I took from it, be careful what I say, be humble, and try not to be such a smart ass. As it happens, I have been brushing my teeth more often and trying to smile more. I was wondering what this dream meant as well. I thought it might have something to with lack of confidence and watching what I say, didn't really think anything about losing friends though. Thanks for all your posts!

Perhaps there is going to be a discovery or something that is going to de-tooth our preconceived notions?
I mean, that's the only reason that I can figure for such a unified conscious explanation.
