I think we the people have to ban together and rise against the machine!

There's plenty of us who would like to somehow overthrow our government! I'm in the Tri State area On the east coast, and I feel its very possible to somehow rebel and show that we are the ones with the power!
who thinks that these types of actions are possible, or better yet inevitable?
My Idea would consist of a massive march of people from everywhere, where we go and what we should do and say wouldn't make to much of a difference because we're not trying to reason with anyone, are we?
basically, who here agrees that this boycott revolution needs to happen in some way and we can rewrite how this place is run!
For us as citizens to accomplish such a task, we would be recognized as a great power ourselves!
why do we keep feeding the invincity and invisibility of our corrupted leaders?
Who here knows of how to coordinate such responsibilities? and how do you go about starting the process and waking up our fellow americans?

those in favor yaye or neigh?

sounds interesting, but why??? why do you want to over throw the U.S government??? i really don't understand or even see you reason for doing something like this.

Also, you shouldn't have spoken about it on the internet due to it always being scanned, not a wise move my friend.

well anyways, fight the power brother

hmmm...
you have it that bad?
I'll bet you have at least 3 square meals a day - unless you opt not too...
You probably have a job or are in school... would that be a publically funded school?
You most likely pay some of the lowest prices for gasoline anywhere in the world other than the middle east...
Store shelves in your neighborhood are completely stocked and there probably aren't long lines of people trying to buy food...
Face it, you may not like the leadership but chances are you're living a life of luxury compared to 80% of the rest of the world's population...

So whats the deal? Is leadership or quality of life your main gripe - got an election coming up -

vote for change if that's what you like -

but to post a thread saying you want an insurection or something is putting your name in some databases that you would probably wish it not to be in...

justmy take - but what do i know - i'm just a dumb girl~

WOO LETS PARTY DUDES! STICK IT TO THE MAAAN.

Why do you want to overthrow the Govt? How is merely marching going to achieve this? What sort of govt would you put in place, one with you at the head?

If you could give a good enough reason to inspire enough people to join the cause, that alone will get the administrations attention. The beauty of democracy.

Lay off the rage against the machine, the real world is a bad place with real people who will put a bullet in your head and if you "fight the machine" for reasons like socialism you'll die, because as bad as democracy is, its the best we've got and we enjoy our freedom, did you stop to think for one moment that YOU were in the minority? and when you get what you want theres going to be someone who wants to rage against you. How the hell can you even begin to believe you know what this country needs? YOUR A FOOL

Go back to your rage against the machine albums and your che guevara prints.

Grrr, the romanticism of a revolution really draws these idiots in, doesn't it?

My advise Qlone is for you to play your part in overthrowing the US government.

I'd suggest you do it through the ballot box next November.

On a related issue I'm a little perturbed by the fact that some here seem happy to utilise their freedom of speech to call for the violent overthrow of other governments around the world but cry like juvenile hypocrits when someone calls for the US government to be overthrown.

who was that aimed at?

Well I deleted one insulting post.Otherwise it's a general comment aimed at those who view this board as a mouthpiece for pro-US views.

As I understand it ATS allows people with differing political outlooks from different countries to express their heartfelt views in a forum which will encourage intelligent debate.

Is a call for the violent overthrow of the US government less valid than a call for the violent overthrow of the Iranian government?

Only if you stand in a narrow political position with a discretionary view of what freedom of speech is.

thanks bull for sticking up for me,

I dont know what I must have been thinking! Revolt against the system, what a stupid idea!

I do have a pretty good life here in my native homeland, besides the fact that it seems so luxurious and convenient for a reason.
I must have gotten the wrong impression from peoples views on these boards, I was under the impression that most people understood the false freedoms that we bite hook line and sinker!
I'm still pretty young and I'm not very educated, so honestly I dont have a clue what goes into more complicated aspects of politics,
I rely on a sick sense sort of thing, right from wrong, It's possible I 'm just beleiving what i want without knowing facts.
My point is justified by your comments on me being carful what i say, isnt this a free contry?
I have no criminal record, alone, i'm far from being a threat to such great manipulators!
what triggered this thread is: I watched a show on the history ch last night " unbeleivable but true"
ah well, yall already broke my spirit, ill just keep looking for a job, and paying my taxes.

Best way to keep the locals from rebelling....

Keep them fed, employed, and a decent quality of life. Until those things are no longer obtainable, the idea of a rebellion is idle chatter.

Not to mention, for those who have enjoyed the relative freedom of America, you'd have to come up with a system of government before-hand (unheard of in most rebellions)....and your rebels must agree that this is better than that which currently is in place.

It's not too late to effect change within the US government.... Like many good ideas, it started out with good intentions, but power corrupts... You can throw out the bathwater, and keep the baby.....

did the workers in the wtc piss off the terrorists in some way?
our gov in my eyes is our representation to the world, how comes we've become a target to certain people? our "forefathers" founded this freeland what a few hundred years ago, to find new land...but also to break free from the ever ruling english monarchy!
now a blink of an eye later we control what goes on in most countries?

"taxation without representaion"

I have no idea what Qlone is trying to say in his last post, but in his first post, I know sedition when I see it.

I echo the sentiments of those who made comparisons between the US and other countries around the world. With very few exceptions, you cannot find a more well-developed quality of life coupled with personal freedoms anywhere besides the USA.

If you don't like the system, then learn how it works and make efforts to change it from inside.

It's my understanding that hose who settled here first came because of religious persecution. They were kicked out of every country in Europe, not just England.

I think "taxation without representation" was one of the precursors for the revolutionary war, a totally different time-frame.
