Former CIA analyst and Presidential advisor Ray McGovern, fresh from his heated public confrontation with Donald Rumsfeld, fears that staged terror attacks across Europe and the US are probable in order to justify the Bush administration's plan to launch a military strike against Iran, which he thinks will take place in June or July.

Hope this information is wrong, but it wouldnt shock me if it was true

Sounds..like another 9-11 I just hope I'm not there whenever a attack is used to "justify," an attack on Iran.

I dont see any reason why this could not be true, its well within the realms of possibility. However im very sceptical with regards to anything to do with the CIA, its also possible that these kind of people are conditioning people for the event of war, ie, planting the seed in everyones mind that terrorist attacks in the future would be done by Iran. Perhaps they know that there is nothing anyone can do about staged terror events even if its out in the open (9/11 anyone?)

I am assuming that if the deed is to be done, it would be before November.

I say this because I believe Blair will be gone by then if I remember correctly

I still don't see how they expect to fight a successful war against Iran. If Afghanistan and Iraq are anything to go by this'll be alot messier, in the Iran - Iraq war the Iranians endured hundreds of thousands of casualties throughout eight years of bloody stalemate. They'll fight just as hard against any other invader. An invader also has to take into account the fact that Iran is a pretty mountainous country..... and much bigger than Iraq.

Perhaps the Chinese will lend the Persians a few of their anti satellite missiles.

Hey didn't you know, the US doesn't fight wars to win them but to divide the local population. Create unrest, destabilize the region and control it from behind the scenes. It was never in the US' interest to bring peace to Iraq. Nor will that be the case in Iran.

damn, I hate you anti-american foreign slime balls

Always thinking US screwing over everyone!

We have been sneak attacked 2 major times Pearl Harbour (Paid back already) and 9/11 (In the process)

Just from your attitudes toward are country no wonder we have to defend ourselves all the time. US is great!

No worries.

The US does not have exclusivity over the said screwing. Not by a long chalk. Britain, France, Russia and on and on have an extensive history of ruining lives and cultures.

So... Enjoy the limelight while it lasts. It'll be someone else's turn to be the big boy in the playground eventually.

And of course.... no other nation in the history of the world has been sneak attacked...... let alone twice!

Peace and Love from a foreign slime-ball.

well i am not a foreign slime ball, in fact i am a former US marine have been to iraq 2ice and fully believe that the US gov had everything to do with 9/11 it definatly would not surprise me in the least if we went at iran..... correct me if im wrong but isnt there something in the constitution (sp?) that would allot bush to be extended for up to 2 years? and hasnt it been done before during a time of war? i thinking WW2 if i am correct, i could be mistaken though. it would not be a shock if bush tried to do that, and using iran to set that up for himself. and KonigKaos google the northwoods document" it is an official document from the joint chiefs of staff to JFK on different ideas on how we could make an excuse to go to war with cuba, many of which involve attacking our own people in different ways. so the idea of 9/11 being an inside job (or at least the gov knowing about it and just letting it happen anyhow) is not that far fetched....i assume from your post you are a member of the military and my guess is you dont have any security clearence and are not in the infantry otherwise you would know this.

We have so much crap from people who says the U.S. is going to attack Iran for a couple of years now that it makes them look stupid. They do not have foresight. Nor do they control the events that comes true to them. The world is unpredictable, that connecting the dots is not the same as 2+2=4.
