Should SETI Call it Quits?

Pretty simple, think of it this way,

Imagine space is a forest, and you are a seti signal, You run out into the forest, hoping to run into life, if you find life, will it be chasing you home?

Maybe we shouldn't go calling out into space, asking for trouble, when we can barely handle the trouble we have here on earth. I am sure if ET didn't destroy us, they'd wonder why we even concern ourselves with space when our world is barely evolved to trade with one another without issue.

It was never an issue of if or when SETI would find a signal, it was a matter of IF it was a good idea.

they are diverse reason why ET are not detected. this include the effect of our technology level which implies that we as humans got no much knowledge about pure energy of space which could let us go further if we unexpectedly found it. this makes it clear that for now we cannot trap their signals and communicate with them. AND for what is mostly important......... we do not know how ET COMMUNICATE using their own language so we cannot be able to tell and understand their language.
