Plasma blobs hint at new life form...

I wonder what gas mix they used, if it was pure argon then, it is interesting behaviour but id not call it in any way light. The reason is that different mixtures of gases quench the plasma. Highly ionized or fully ionized gas will naturally strip electrons from surrounding non ionised gas. Thus if they are generating arcs in otherwise unheated or unionized gas, you would totally expect 'evolution' of the plasma cloud as it tries to get back to a lower energy state.

might be fine to suggest that this process is somewhat organic or life like in phenomenology but it is not really the same as suggesting that it IS life.
