Note: This is *NOT* the re-inactment with actors that has been posted before!

LOL so they are not actors.
Thats the exact same footage that has been confirmed a hoax.
I'm supprised at the amount of people that believe this.
I laughed when the 3kids came in the house with the alien suits on with the helmets

Wait this is getting confusing, i did some searching on google and it says that the remake was done in 1997 not 1984, but this video that Acharya posted clearly shows it was done sometime in the 80's... BOTH HOAX VIDEOS WHICH WERE BASED ON REAL EVENTS (APPERENTLY SO) WERE MADE IN THE LATE 1990's (ONE WAS THE ORIGINAL HOAX AND ANOTHER WAS A REMAKE OF THE ORIGINAL WHICH WAS MADE SHORTLY AFTER). But I cant find any infomation on the real events, no family went missing around 1984 under the name of McMphersons, In saying that i suppose this video is a hoax... but there is no way to prove it because it has just been released, and i cant find this footage anywhere else on the internet.

Im sorry but the dialoge seems forced and fake. Also, the aliens dont look real and that bit at the end where one of them stares at the camera and it goes off was just plain hokey .

Its a good effort if you are at college studying film and tv.

The end bits the best the way "it" just stares at the camera.......

Neat video. I'm on the fence with this one.
God, I want it to be true...but...meh. Who knows.

On another note, might want to put a language warning in the original
post. Wouldn't want anyone to view this at work or around children with
all the swearing.

Good idea, I put a warning in the first post just now.

Proved to be a fake. Some guy apparently made that a while back as a draft or something for a movie he wanted to make. He hired professional actors. Then he for some reason canceled the project but someone took the footage and edited the credits and such out and claimed it was real footage, and it just kinda went from there.

As everyone says, it's a movie and not a "real incident." The first version has just Incredibly Bad Alien Suits (long sleeves and gloves on the ends of them (look closely!) as well as Halloween mask alien heads.) The second is indeed more movie footage (you can tell by the odd cuts and angles... if you're videoing something happening, you don't swing the camera back to look at the reaction of your friends to this.)

More "Blair Witch" type stunts.

Remember that this kind of thing is what's given UFO research a very bad name. Everyone needs to learn to spot fakes quickly.

I couldn't believe what I actually saw. That ending was even more creepy when those little (greys I think they were) aliens walked into the room and that last one to enter turned and stared at the camera causing it to screw up. Some kind of telepathic EMP bomb? Freaky as hell.

Why isn't there a version without all the writing across the video? Looks like a setup homemade movie to me. I don't know how video cameras are now but I have one I bought in 1999 and it has to have a strong light on it to film in the dark. Plus all the lights they were carrying you know the aliens would have seen them approaching immediately.

Fake, completely fake, filmed for effect/creepiness fake (it was DESIGNED that way), not even a very good fake (IMO), plain old fake, oh, so so fake. A very flakey fake. So fake it's almost amusing. If it wasn't for the bad name these amateur film stunts give to serious ufo research, I might even laugh at how fake it is. 'nuff said?

BTW - the 'dead' alien lying on the ground at about 3:20 sure looks a lot like Michael Jackson (same nose job anyway).

Nice orderly single file entry into the home at the end - like coming to the birthday party!

Oh yeah - you can buy these exact alien costumes with the rubber head and black robes at any Target/WalMart a few weeks before Halloween. Just please don't make your own version of this film...

Percentage probability this is a fake: 99.999...%

it felt fake to me, the humans were 50/50 in how believable their reactions where, but the aliens themselves where dead fake in my opinion.

I don't watch or download ufo/alien videos because most are probably fake and I have deemed that it's not really worth my time downloading them on my patheticaly slow dial-up connection. Deciding on whether each video/picture is fake or real does not really matter to me! I am already a firm believer so I don't need further conviction!

Do a google or yahoo search on ufos and/or aliens and your bound to get thousands of results! Speaking very conservatively I would say at least 5 to 10 percent must be real if not more! So whats the point of trying to verify each and every one???? You either believe or you don't believe.

Christians(including myself) almost blindly are lead to believe in Jesus and God with very little proof(other than the bible) ever since we were born and yet we don't question their existance. Why shouldn't humanity believe in ufo/aliens when their is tons of evidence available?

I REALLY THINK HUMANS ARE THE BIGGEST HYPOCRITES IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE!!! If I were an EBE I would have given up on humanity a long time ago since people are so selectively blind!

I'm sorry to say but you are wrong. This clip you posted from YouTube
is the same one that's been around for a while and originally broadcast
by UPN as the Incident in Lake County movie.
This clip is from an old japanese tv show I think by Fuji-TV where they presented the alien
images from the movie just to cause confusion to the audience in the
classic japanese style so no Real Footage here as you mentioned nor
actually family either ok ?

Interestingly the alien segments of the movie circulated among several
ufologic circles in the 90's causing also confusion and some researchers
thought the images were real. In the 90's the tv show Encounters from
FOX made a segment about the footage without mentioning the source
and the images fooled researchers Donald Ware and Tom Dongo who
belived these were real aliens. Later they regretted to be involved in
the program when they found out the truth.

This is the segment from tv show Encounters. Take note these are the
same alien images from the japanese show you posted.

www.youtube.com...

The Alien Abduction: Incident in Lake County (1998) movie continues
confusing people even that this was a low budget production. The
alien images have been posted, discussed, reproduced and distorted
for over a decade and some people still think this is the real thing.

There is enough information about this movie in the Internet so I
suggest to act cautiously when watching clips on YouTube to avoid
being deceived. Here is the movie database.

wow i really wanted to believe, but there's no way. i've heard alleged reports that these greys sometimes are seen with spacesuit looking attire and sometimes they aren't. pretty convenient that these ones happened to be the ones with those suits. they look like 12 year old boys dressed up for halloween walking around akwardly.

I agree with Byrd, we should be able to
spot fake alien movies a.s.a.p.

Here's a way, if aliens exist, wouldn't the
reptile people and friends of Milton on this site
get the grays or whatever they are to wear an ATS
badge?
That way we won't have to sift through some of
the garbage that's dumped here.

Just a thought.

Good work free_spirit, however - can you 100% verify that this Japanese vid is indeed from the movie?

If so, then I think we can call this one a wrap. If however, it cannot be proven that this video is from the movie, it deserves further research.

Hey thanks for clearing that up Free_spirit
I noticed that theres alot more footage from the tape played in this report then the Japanese version. I would like to see the whole tape, has anyone got a link or a source to the whole McPherson tape ? If this is the original hoax then it must be availible somewhere to download and watch.

Hi free_spirit,

The Japanese footage posted by Acharya is NOT from the movie "Incident in Lake County" originally broadcast by UPN in 1998.

I'm far from sure that anyone really cares, but I'll try to clarify the actual position.

If you watch the movie "Incident in Lake County", you'll notice that the actors in the Japanese footage are different from the actors in that movie. (The actors in the Japanese footage are the same ones as in the Encounters footage.)

Indeed, if you look at the photos of the actors in the link to the Internet Movie Database (imdb) you may be able to see that they are not the same people as in the Japanese footage or the Encounters footage.

The version of "Incident in Lake County" broadcast on UPN in 1998 (which is regularly shown in the United Kingdom on the Sky Movies channels) was a later remake of a budget movie by the same director, with more professional actors and a budget which was massively greater than that for the original version. The original version had a budget of about $6,500 whilst the remake had a budget of over $1 million.

The story which you relate about a video fooling researchers Donald Ware and Tom Dongo during the 1990s relates to the original version of the movie, not the remake broadcast on UPN.

I posted relevant links earlier in this thread (and also some time ago, either on ATS or another forum).

Acharya asked earlier for a link to a discussion on ATS a few weeks ago of the original version of the movie that I mentioned. That discussion can be found at the link below:
www.abovetopsecret.com...

This episode is also discussed by Kevin D Randle and Russ Estes and William Cone in their book “The Abduction Enigma” (1999) at pages 56-57 (in Chapter 1) of the Forge hardback edition.

Kind Regards,

Isaac

real/not real it just does not feel right to me. I watched it and I have seen many legit military and non military videos and it just gives me an odd feeling. You know the kind I am talking about where you watch it and eventhough something seems legit you know it is just very off..

Oh well someday we will all pay witness to an event that even the US government can't deny.

This is a different film form the 1998 one.

Same story, exactly same "concepts" but totally different actors, different house, etc.
