Ok, you all need to stop for a minute and think about what darkbluesky is saying. Right now at the top of my screen it says these are the "hot" topics:

1. Bush Should be Tried! - I guess not agreeing with someone is akin to "warcrimes" here on ATS?

2. Int'l Bankers Destroying USA

3. USA Takeover?

That is 3 out of 5 of the "hot topic" threads on this board, do you see a pattern here?

I think the American members of this board tolerate alot of slander from threads like this. I would like to see an end to it. Everyone likes to point their finger at the US and say, "thats the bad guy!" Well, we arent alone.

Here's one more thing I'd like to say regarding this national adversarial tone. I have travelled the world extensively and have freinds in all the countries mentioned in this post. I've never had a single malevolent thought toward the "people" of a country as a whole, and I still don't. But, the more time I spend on this forum, and the more comments I read like.....

You Americans have to relise that this kind of post is exectly why people around the world carry feelings of "hate" for your kind.

I still love Canada and most of it's people......excluding JRA obviously.

I attacked your idea (thread), not you. I'll admit that using the word retarded was a bit strong, but things like that happen when you provoke people by purposely creating an inflammatory thread.

The current average American's attitude is very reminicent of the attitude of your Average British subject during the height of the British Empire. The British were despised by almost everyone in the world of the day. The big difference is the Americans only think they have an empire, they never bothered to ask how anyone else felt. The only reason the Americans are where they are today is that they have a habbit of declaring war on people and raping their economy. Oh and by the way, Australia has a national debt of $0. We did this through hard work and sacrifice, not illegal wars or police actions yet we remain relatively humble and value each life as equally important whether they be US citizens or Mexicans.

Does church tithes count? If so I'm sure the evengelical middle americans make up most of the money.

Also it is important to note that many more charitable organizations can thrive in america, because of all the guilt-ridden rich people being pressured to give back. I don't know. I'll stick to the "each person is judged for their own actions."
