No our stories say that we came out of Crystal Cave. Just out side of Rapid City, SD here.

this story really has no basis in reality what so ever. That's why C2C is so cool though. Driving home late is never boring if C2C is on.

I'm looking for a mels hole update

Anyone seen or heard anything about "Mel's Hole" in recent years?

I heard Mark from ATS was on C2C tonight (only caught the last hour), and there was mention of Mel's Hole earlier in the broadcast.

Any new insights for any of us that missed the (first part of the) show?

Or anyone else have any updates on this intriguing enigma?

There was a caller on Coast to Coast in response to Mel's hole that told of the Alberta Hole.

Basically on a farm somewhere in Alberta there was a hole similar to the one Mel described. Apparently the family who owned the land would find little black pyramids and stuff on the ground around it, and put them on their mantle.

She offered to have George Noory come out and visit it, but I never heard anything else about it.

um quite honestly the property that i now live on with my grandmother and uncle and his wife and child has a whole such as the one you speak of. ever since i remember even since i was a baby i remember my uncle putting things down it and it never filling up. my dad has even told me stories about hearing strange things inside and seeing strange lights sometimes. the whole is still here on our property and is covered right now my uncle decided to cover it but it ends up caving in once every few years and he has to re cover it. something happend also before i was born my whole family says its true but anyway the storie is that a man was panting the store beside the house and poured his laquer thinner down the hole and then lit a match and lit his cig and then dropped the match down the hole and i guess this blew made and explosion and the guy ended up dying.

Pictures man! Get us Pictures!!!!! And perhaps if you're willing and have the time, you could do a few experiments for us? Like lower some fishing line down there to try and see how deep it is.

But yeah, we totally need pictures! Also, does the hole have any sort of rim around it? Or is it just a hole in the ground.

at the moment pictures are impossible as its covered with a big steel sheet and tons of gravel but the next time it caves in i sure will get you the pictures it usually caves in after a couple years and its been about 2 years since it caved in, but its the first time we have used a big steel sheet and gravel in hopes it would last longer. but i know for certain that it is really deep as we have thrown in one of those big floor model 40inch tv's and we never heard it hit anything my dad said when he was younger around my age him and his brothers threw alot of things in there and never heard it hit. i myself think it used to be maybe a well or cystern when this city was first founded as this part of the city was just a big woods at that time. it could also be a sinkhole that leads to an under ground river.. by the way i live in indiana not the place where this story originated but i have heard of similar cases to mels hole and the hole here all over the internet.

Im read a story about a similar hole in NM. It had a metal flange on it and was on sacred Native American territory. Dead animals would be resurrected and such. I've never been able to find that story again.

well that same story is associated with almost all of these holes but i havent seen anything like that from mine but it could have happened before i was born because my dad and uncle wouldnt speak of some of the things they seen they said it freaks em out just thinking about it so who knows maybe demons aliens w/e but there is definitely something weird about it because when me and my uncle covered it with that metal sheet and about a ton of gravel i felt very weird looking down into it almost as if something was looking back at me thats when me and the uncle decided to throw some # into it to see if we could hear it hit and we didnt and he said he has never heard anything hit that he has thrown down before which is why i think it might be an old well that may lead to an under grown river but you would think you would hear a splash or something if it caves in again ill see if i can get someone to spelunk it haha.either way when it caves in again ill get you some vid footage of it you may think im bs-ing but you'll see it might be 6 months or sooner or later but ill definitely post a video to this thread if it doesnt get deleted!!

Wow. I find this to be very very interesting, especially these last couple of posts.

The idea of holes that lead deep into the earth resonates with me because I find it to be very mysterious, but also a very spiritual and shamanic topic...

Would love to hear some updates on the matter.

And be more insistent with your father and uncle, get some good stories out of them.
