Underwater

Since the planet is mostly covered with water, and humans are mainly confined to land, if I wanted to have a base on this planet which would remain hidden... chance are I'd do so in the oceans. if I was an alien race, and I had technology to travel among the starts.. I'd probably have enough tech for an underwater base..

with that said.. have there been any or many reports of our submarines or ships reporting anything unknown in the oceans? some of our best technology is on our submarines... if something was there, I'd think eventually they find or see something.

You bring up some interesting points, but there is this fact that might shed some light. The majority of the worlds submarines are owned by military governments. They're not going to share anything with the media..

this theory has been covered before, but I always find it an interesting topic for discussion. You never know...but I doubt we'd be likely to find them even if they existed...
