UN warns of population surge

The United Nations has published new predictions on the size and age of the world's population 300 years from now.

It says that if fertility stays at the current level, the global population could rise to 134 trillion.

But in its medium-case scenario the UN sees the world's population rising from 6.3 billion to about 9 billion in 2300.

Umm, 134 TRILLION? I know it's the worst case scenario but #, that's a huge bunch of people.

Anyway, in 2300 , we'll be everywhere in the universe. So 134 trillion when you have colonized some hundreds planet, it's not a problem.

Do you really think that the human race is going to make it to 2300? I think we will have vaporised each other with nuclear weapons by that point. That is an incredible amount of people. . .
