Odd Opening Acts

Ever been to a concert where the opening act just didn't quite fit with the headliner? Let's hear your odd opening acts!

Suicidal Tendencies opening for Queensryche

What I remember, or have heard of:
-Judas Priest opening for REO Speedwagon
-The Romantics opening for Motley Crue.

I remember when I was a kid the Monkees headlining at at a state fair concert. No, I didn't go.

Opening act? Jimi Hendrix.

I couldn't make that up.


[Edit to add] Went back and looked up some stuff. The concert was at the fairgrounds, but it was in May and not during the fair. Just striving for accuracy.

The Fools
An obscure punkish, band, all with skinny black ties
Opening for Van Halen.

Poor Fools, played a short set, with no breaks between the songs, so they couldn't hear the booing.
