New Community Project: The Unified Conspiracy Search Engine!

We have a brand new initiative designed to provide ATS members with the opportunity to help the entire conspiracy theory and alternative topics community.

The Unified Conspiracy Search Engine

This is a new cooperative custom search engine that uses the power of Google, but focused on a narrow set of websites with contextual aids developed by volunteers.

Wow....I am soooo into this. I've been looking for something like this for quite some time. Thanks. First for starting this project and secondly, for cluing me into this google feature. I've already started one on another interest of mine -- Lithuanian history but don't worry, I've plenty of time to devote on the Unified Conspiracy Search Engine as well.

Aside from the convenience of being able to search the "alternate universe" (versus Google at large), I wouldn't be surprised if some nice features for mining all that data should find their way into the project.

I hope to see some attention given to search and data storage for and fom government web sites. the various governments put stuff up on offic9ial sites all the time that has a limited shelf life. Has anyone considered an archive for the capture of this material?

How will you keep this from growing in to a subscriber service? Given the manpower demands, I can't see how you avoid it. Not that it wouldn't be worth a subscription fee. I am aware that long-term data storage gets spendy. I am also aware that a wiki approach could allow members to keep the material groomed.

Just my thoughts for the moment.
