By this I of course refer to:
The League Cup
The FA Cup
The UEFA Cup

and I predict they will finish third in the table. There is a small chance of spurs winning the premiership, however I have to be realistic and feel that third place will be a reasonable second full season for Jol.

I think they have a shot of 2/3 cups.

The league cup depends on having a good draw, and catching Chelsea or Arsenal/Liverpool off guard. Liverpool and Chelsea can handily beat the Spurs if they choose to show up and play, and even if they do not, they would still be a handful for Spurs. Arsenal and Spurs are more or less evenly matched. I think the Spurs have a good chance at coming in 2nd, which will cement a UEFA cup spot next year as Chelsea, Arsenal, or Liverpool will win it if the Spurs do not.

FA cup is still up in the air. Spurs will need a good draw.

I think the Spurs have a chance at the UEFA cup, and can compete against any team in the competition.

I don't imagine you will win the 3 cups but I reckon you have a really good chance at the UEFA cup. Last year Middlesbrough who are just an average premiership team managed to make it to the final, and Spurs are a much better team than them.

I think Jol is doing a good job with the team, and he has created the best team you have had in quite a while.

Is it teh Carling cup you are playing Arsenal? I heard Wenger saying he might field the reserve team again so if that happens, you have a real good chance of progressing.

Who have you got in the next round of the other cup?

That means we face the mighty(cough) Southend in the next round. Second time we'll be knocking the out of a cup this season. Cup triple is still on the cards.

disaster. 2-2 draw at the lane.

Spurs take an early lead through Berbatov latching on to a sweet ball from Defoe and heading in from close range. At this point Spurs look strong, however Berbatov injures his groin scoring. Keane comes on in replacement and plays deep leaving Defoe up front on his own.

Spurs start to lose their dominance but stretch their lead through a dodgy peice of defending by Arsenal. Huddlestone plays a ball into the box but it's too low for Dawson to get a head on it so he jumps the ball which goes through to Baptista who miss controls and puts the ball into his own net. Own goal. 2-0 to Spurs.

Having lost Berbatov Spurs' have lost their attacking prowess. Arsenal are getting back in the game.

The less said about the second half the better as Spurs fall to peices and allow Arsenal to play their game. Fortunately the game ends with Arsenal only managing to pull level.

Now all to play for in the second leg. Arsenal go back to the Emirates with two away goals as clear favourites.

Don't you just love early season predictions.

They have been so inconsistant this season again, one of the big under-performers imo. Has Jol taken over the mantle of Ranieri? 'The Tinkerman' ... They have alot of players in the squad and there downfall is not picking a settled team week in week out..

I think our consistant rate of injuries has meant that he has been forced into it more often than not. He has played around with his four forwards but I think that he's rather settled with Defoe and Berbatov now.

Thing is he has always liked to switch the team about ever since he has been there. I just dont think these rotating squad systems work at all...

On a side note, Berbatov looks a really good striker now that he has settled in. Defoe has always been good, i remember seeing him play when he was 14 - 15 yrs old and right through his pro career. The only thing about him is that he needs the service, balls at his feet or just infront of him to run on to. He's not a creative striker like Henry ect... I'm surprised he is still at Spurs, it was always touted he was man U bound at some stage in his career....

yeah Defoe works well alongside Berbatov. But he is a disloyal little recreant and I imagine he'll be off somewhere soon. Keane is still a top player he just needs a decent run of games. The league form this year has been disapointing but if anything comes from the cups and we still make europe it'll be a good season in my book.

We've just hit a poor spell of form.

Defoe has always been an arrogant little so and so lol..

I'm surprised you let Davenport go as Gardner is pretty crap, Rocha hasnt adjusted yet to Prem football and King is still out. I heard through the grapevine - as i have alot of contacts in the footballing world through work that i do - that King could be finished as a player and that his foot is worse than what they are saying. Not sure how true that is though and it would be a shame as he is a great defender..

I think they have a good chance in the UEFA cup though and could go all the way to the final. They just need that little bit of luck and Berbatov and Defoe or Keane to be in top form in the games.

Whats hapening with the draw, did they get a bye in the end? One minute they did, next they didn't and i havnt been keeping tabs on it..

gardner isn't that bad and davenport wasn't any better IMO. I hope what you've heard isn't true because King is a rock for spurs. Dawson and King were one of the best central defense partnerships in the premiership.

I haven't heard much about the UEFA cup but it looks like spurs are getting a bye and interestingly we could be facing Parma coached by Claudio Ranieri in the next round.
