Tottenham Hotspur have made an approach for Borussia Dortmund playmaker Tomas Rosicky.

The Czech Republic international has emerged as a summer target for the Premiership club, who are keen to press for a place in Europe.

Rosicky has endured a tumultuous career with Dortmund but could be poised to leave the Westfalenstadion at the end of the season.

Looks like they are going to try to sign him, but is it too much money they are asking for?

Czech star Tomas Rosicky has confirmed that Tottenham have made an approach for him. Borussia Dortmund are continuing to struggle financially and the sale of Rosicky looks an increasingly likely prospect although they are still believed to be looking at 10 million

Tottenham head coach Martin Jol has rejected speculation linking the club with moves for Borussia Dortmund forward Tomas Rosicky. Jol denied Spurs had entered into any negotiations over Czech star Rosicky despite comments to the contrary from the player and his agent.

Of course they wanted him, it was proberly too much money to pay for him. You wouldn't miss a chance on a player of his quality...

i hope this talk hasnt died down. if he signed for spurs what a move that would be for them

10 million is alot of money, i aint sure if they can afford it, i think they could though if they sold off a few of the fringe players

but what a player, i aint sure if borussia dortmund can hold out for the ten million as i think they are having serious money issues

It looks like it may be dead and buried but you never know, maybe Spurs have just cooled interest and are waiting untill the end of the season. Dortmund are asking way to much for him and Spurs are waiting to sign him for much less...

yip. things aint improving at dortmund and if anything, he will only become more determined to leave there.

if they are asking this 10 million, he must be thinking hey, whats going on pricing me out of a deal and i wonder, could this lead to him handing in a transfer request?

has there been any talk of how much jol is getting to spend in the summer?

Not sure about how much, but there is increased talks that Robbie Keane is leaving at the end of the season. If he does that will generate quite a bit, plus i guess a small transfer kitty earmarked for the summer. It might buy them 2 decent players...

keane is a good player, i guess he just falling behind the other strikers in search for a regular game

if he did leave, he would generate at least 5million i would imagine for a sale.

another post says about everton being intrested in keane and davies, if they both left i could see rosicky moving to spurs, as i think they would then be able to fund the deal
