Tottenham Hotspur have released South African defender Mbulelo Mabizela by mutual consent.
The 24-year-old signed for Spurs just over a year ago after impressing during a pre-season friendly against the Orlando Pirates, but has failed to
make his mark at White Hart Lane.
Mabizela netted on his club debut in the 2-1 victory at Leicester City, but made just three starts for Spurs, only one of those in the Premiership.
He had not featured at all in the first team since the arrival of new boss Jacques Santini and becomes a free agent following his release by the North
London club.
Meanwhile, Spurs have been linked with a move for Bolton Wanderers forward Kevin Davies, who is out of contract with the Trotters at the end of the
season.
never heard of the south african player, but if he aint getting a game and aint really challenging for a game, there no point on holding onto him
but kevin davies, bolton will want to keep him, especially since he will become a free agent, they wont want him to go for nothing, although, i think
he might want to stay at bolton
