Tottenham winger Rohan Ricketts has joined Championship side Coventry on a month's loan. The former England Under-20 player will go straight into the squad to face Leicester on Saturday.

The 21-year-old joined Spurs from Arsenal in 2002 and has since made 29 appearances, although he has not featured in the first team this season.

His first goal for Spurs came against Coventry at Highfield Road in the Carling Cup in 2003.

He does actually look a very good player and i'm surprised the Gunners let him go. He is only 21 and has a long way to go yet.

Not good enough for Arsenal, the new boss doesn't seem to fancy him much. Looked good when he played.

Maybe one to keep an eye on for the future and see how he does...

Think he's past the age to be considered a good prospect, at 22 he should be playing regular first team football.

Maybe he should drop down a division full time?

Midfielder Rohan Ricketts is confident his month-long loan spell at Coventry will prove beneficial for both parties.

Ricketts has joined the Sky Blues from Tottenham where he has failed to make a Premiership appearance so far this season.

But the 21-year-old is hoping his spell with City can help kick-start his career.

Ricketts said: "I hope to stay in the team as often as I can and help Coventry get some better results and get up the table.

"Hopefully that'll give me a good reputation when I go back to Spurs.

"I want to help Coventry and help myself - hopefully I'll gain more experience in becoming a goalscoring midfielder."
