Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has revealed that he will again consider his Anfield future at the season's end. The England man has been frequently linked with a move away from the Merseyside giants, with the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid all keen on having the midfielder's services. With Rafa Benitez's side struggling to keep pace with the Premiership's top four, the talented 24-year-old admitted he will again asses his future with The Reds, as he did last summer before publicly declaring his intention to stay for the current campaign.

"I'll sit down at the end of the season and assess the situation," Gerrard told the BBC.

"I'm settled at the moment and I've got some massive games to play in the near future.

"There's some top clubs around Europe who are showing some interest, but I'm at a top club, as I speak, and I'll concentrate on giving all I've got for Liverpool.

"I always look for improvement from the club. It's been a bit disappointing so far this season, as far as the challenge for the title is concerned.

"But I've got a chance of lifting a cup and finishing in the top four."

liverpool have slammed the talk of chelsea wanting him yet again

Liverpool have dismissed reports which suggested they had agreed a deal to sell Steven Gerrard to Chelsea.

Reports on Sunday suggested Gerrard had grown frustrated with The Reds' failure to challenge the big three and had urged Liverpool to do business with Chelsea.

It was alleged that the top brass at the two clubs had met up and shook hands on the £30 million deal, which would see Gerrard double his wages at Stamford Bridge.

Steven Gerrard was lost for words after Liverpool's victory over Milan, and hinted that he is likely to stay at Anfield. The captain turned in a superb performance as The Reds fought back from 3-0 down in a remarkable second half, as he scored and won a penalty for Xabi Alonso. Liverpool's talisman has been the subject of much speculation with Chelsea and Real Madrid linked with a move. Although in the euphoria after Liverpool's historic fifth European Cup win he revealed that he would be entering into talks soon - and hinted at a positive outcome for the Anfield faithful.
