hey, liverpool striker admits he prefers playing up front with another striker..

"It's always better to play with two strikers because you have more space, and it's more difficult when you play just one against four defenders," Baros told PremPlus.

"You can play well, you get to keep the ball more and you get more chances to score goals."

"I think you can play more attacking football when you play 4-4-2, but it's not my decision, it's up to the manager.

"If he wants to play 4-5-1 we will respect him and do our best, if he wants 4-4-2 then we respect that too.

"What was important was that we wanted three points today and we got it so that's great - it wasn't easy but we got the result which is great."

in a post i did earlier TRD it was about morientes supposed to be joining. do you think he would suit liverpool? i think baros and morientes are both goal scorers. so am not sure how they would combine. but i think that would help the team

Morientes looks like he will be suited to the English game and yeah he would do great over here. As for Liverpool i'm not sure, he will hold the ball up more than Baros and maybe score more goals, but as a combination i dunno how well it would work...

Another classic example of reporters putting words in players mouths. I watched that interview and the reporter said "You played with a strike partner today and you did alot better, isn't that right?" and Baros was like "Of course, with a partner obviously you get more space and time to do things, but it's up to the manager what team we play...I don't mind leading the line on my own either"

Yet reading this you'd think he'd told the manager what to do. lol

As for Morientes he'd be great. The problem we have is that we have alot of pacey strikers Baros, Cisse, Pongolle e.t.c. but no foward men who can hold up the ball and bring other players into a play, a fold for the pacey striker. Morientes seems to be that kind of player so he'd be great for us.
