Fulham reserves manager Paul Nevin was pleased with the return of Elvis Hammond during the goalless draw with Watford at Craven Cottage.
The Ghana-born striker, whose last appearance for the first team was in May 2003, celebrated his 24th birthday by playing for 70 minutes following a
string of injuries.
Nevin told the club's official website: "Considering he's been out for so long, Elvis did extremely well.
"We asked him before the game to give us an hour. For the majority of the time he closed defenders down and held the ball up well. He did a great job
and we're all glad that he came through without a reaction."
