West Ham United: Sheringham for England?

Is this rumour true, Sheringham might be gettting picked for the England squad?

I know losing Rooney is a big loss, but will Sheringham want to come out and play? is he good enough at that level?

So, is this rumour total cr@p or is tehre some truth to it?

im sure if its true, trd & the other west ham fans will be excited, id love to see it myself, first i've heard of it & didnt expect it but I think there is alot of quality in our players now & alot of potential england stars ie. reo coker, etherington, harewood, zamora & so on. So we'll have to wait & see, we were 2nd fav to win before rooney got injured but now were like 4th or 5th favourite, oh well

Well, his name was mentioned a few times on talk radio and a few other places. But i think its people just wishing, i cant see it myself. He's been a great player in his time but his age is starting to show a bit and i don't think he could cut it on the big stage anymore.

People might laugh but look at how many goals Marlon Harewood has scored this season...
