Everton look to have stepped up their interest in Rangers midfielder Fernando Ricksen.
Reports in Scotland suggest that Toffees boss David Moyes may be keen to make a summer move for the Dutchman, with uncertainty surrounding the future
of Everton midfielder Thomas Gravesen.
The Merseyside club look to have earmarked Ricksen as a possible replacement for the bald-headed Dane, with the former AZ Alkmaar man out of contract
at the season's end.
The Goodison Park club have reportedly had representatives watch the 28-year-old on a number of occasions this season, with fellow Premiership side
Birmingham City showing interest in the player as well.
Despite the links, Ricksen has already declared his desire to remain at Ibrox beyond the end of the current campaign.
The Dutchman also suggested back in October that only the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea or Liverpool would interest him in a move south
to The Premiership.
It remains to be seen if Ricksen could be convinced of a move to Everton or Birmingham, though the prospect of Moyes's side being in Europe next
season may prove to be an attractive prospect for the Dutchman.
