Charlton Athletic: Marcus Bent signs for Charlton

Marcus Bent is pleased to have clinched his 2 million move from Everton to Charlton Athletic. The under-rated striker will cost a further 500,000 after a set amount of appearances and has penned a three-and-a-half year contract with his new club.

Good signing, should team up well with Darren who has been scoring alot of goals.. Might just lift Charlton who after there bright start have been in a bit of a funk lately..

are they 2 brothers? i thuoght when he came on, on Sunday as a sub for Rommendahl whas a good player, but he came on and scored a good goal and looked good.

the funny thing is, if Rommendahl hadnt got injured, he would have probe came on with 10 minutes to go lol

I think Charlton have got an exceptional player there, my only worry would be thats he's been through 9 or 10 different clubs and he's only 28. Wonder if there's a funny attitude there somewhere
