Derek Boateng is understood to be interesting Southampton and Charlton.

The Ghanaian international is available from Swedish outfit AIK Solna and has already tried his luck at Plymouth and Wigan this summer.

Boateng is keen to broker a move to England and is believed to have trained with both Premiership clubs in the past week.
