Arsenal: Gunners to sign edu replacement

Arsene Wenger has confirmed he will sign a replacement for Edu - who he thinks will now leave Arsenal this month.

Wenger had been hopeful that Edu - whose contract expires in the summer - would sign a new deal.

However, the French coach now feels that Edu will leave and he tips Valencia to land the 27-year-old.

Wenger had not planned to lose Edu - but now he is thinking about moving into the transfer market.

I think he had until the end of the week to sign a new deal, with Lauren and Sol Campbell signing new deals you would have thought Edu would sign. Looks like he will go unless he does a last minute u-turn.

yip. am sure wenger wants som1 in, incase he goes. rather than him leaving and not having time to get a replacement, they need all the players they can get to try catch chelski
