David Dein has lost his position as vice-chairman of the Football Association.
The Arsenal vice-chairman was told he could no longer remain in the post he has held since February 2000 due to restructuring.
A statement on the official FA website read: "In view of the current discussions over the restructuring of The Football Association, the Professional
Game Board today decided that their nomination for the position of Professional Game vice-chair would not go forward.
"David Dein, who held that post, therefore decided not to stand for re-election. He remains on the main FA Board, International Committee and
Professional Game Board."
